For anyone who has not seen the finale of Stranger Things Season 4, look away immediately. The rest of this article will contain heavy spoilers for the end of the newest season. The end of the latest season was met with tons of emotions, as Vecna all but destroyed Hawkins and the lives of the kids that we have watched grow up with throughout these years. One of the most intense moments came with Max being trapped once again by Vecna, however, this time he accomplished what he set out to do, by killing her. However, Eleven was able to revive Max in some strange way, though she now is in a coma in the hospital. Sadie Sink, who plays Max, has now responded to the events of her character. According to Sink, “I have no idea what’s coming in five and what that looks like. Max’s storyline is very up in the air, ’cause obviously she’s in a coma and Eleven can’t find her in the void. So who knows where she is and what state she’s in.”

One of the saddest moments in Stranger Things Season 4 is having to watch Max being held by Lucas, while she begins to die. Lucas had been trying to stop Jason, who believed that the Hellfire club was some sort of cult. Jason was holding a gun and aiming it at Lucas, believing that Lucas was holding Max in some sort of trance. Through their fight, Jason stepped on the Walkman that would have surely saved Max’s life. This led to Max finally succumbing to the magic from Vecna. Though she is in the hospital and seemingly alive, that might not mean that she is able to return from her injuries. Clearly, Sadie Sink has no idea what the Duffer Brothers have planned for the character, which is the same for all of us.

Stranger Things has exploded on Netflix and become the second all-time viewed series in the history of the streaming platform. Though there had been plenty of delays due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have finally been given the fourth season in its entirety. This was also having to wait a month in between the first slate of seven-episode, to the final two being released on July 1st. The Duffer Brothers had been working tirelessly on the final two episodes, which is what led to the delay in the full season coming out at once. Also, the final two episodes are a staggering four hours of viewership, so that took some time to complete. It was certainly well worth the wait, but now we must all remain in limbo about what is to come of our favorite Hawkins kids, including Max.

Stranger Things Season 4 is streaming in its entirety on Netflix, and fans can now watch all nine episodes. Each episode this season has been well over an hour each, making it quite a task to get through. That does not mean we had to labor through the episodes, only it took some time to get through, especially to those who have a few hours a day to watch what they can. Hopefully, there isn’t going to be a huge amount of time to wait to see what happens next. We hope to see Max play some pivotal moment in the fifth season, though she is likely to have to do that from her hospital bed. Either way, the Duffer Brothers outdid themselves with the writing of this current season.
