DC has already confirmed quite a lot about The Flash. Of course, they’re not going to let the public know everything. We can expect a lot of surprises when Ezra Miller’s solo movie finally reaches movie theaters. With Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck both showing up as Batman thanks to the Multiverse, the possibilities seem pretty endless. Now, we’re hearing some interesting details on how the team behind the movie has decided to surprise audiences in this one. A trusted and proven inside source for Giant Freakin Robot has shared that Adam West, Christopher Reeve, and Lynda Carter will all appear in a scene in The Flash. This will be accomplished using old footage from their previous work and CGI.

Our source was clear that the three icons have a cameo, so audiences can expect to see them in at least one scene. However, what we’ve learned makes it sound like that may be all. It should be an unexpected, surprising, and fun moment in The Flash for fans who recognize the cast as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

As mentioned above, audiences currently know to expect both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as Batman. This has naturally led many to suspect that we could see another Batman appear in The Flash. George Clooney has been asked about it in interviews, which he’s denied. Seeing Adam West back in the role will definitely be a surprise in The Flash. Adam West played a campy Batman in the 1960s before he passed away in 2017. Christopher Reeve famously played Superman, and he also passed away in 2004. Bringing these two back digitally will be surprising, and possibly controversial for some in the audience. Lynda Carter, who first played Wonder Woman in the 1970s, has actually appeared in the DC Extended Universe as Asteria in Wonder Woman 1984 with Gal Gadot. We’re expecting to see her in the third film.

What we’re hearing makes us believe that footage of the younger Lynda Carter is what we’ll be seeing in The Flash, alongside Adam West and Christopher Reeve. Is it possible that she could appear in The Flash today with new footage as well? With the Multiverse, anything is possible. However, we don’t know anything about that. What our source has learned leads us to believe that audiences will see her original younger Wonder Woman alongside West and Reeve, so nothing we’ve heard has led us to expect seeing today’s Lynda Carter acting in person for the role, but that could happen too. What our source was able to confirm for us is that we will see the three in The Flash using old footage.

It’ll be interesting to see what the team does with that in terms of the story. Since their appearances will be brief, it likely won’t be groundbreaking, but hopefully it will add a fun touch. Will they imply that the three are the original Justice League? Deepfake videos online have used the actors’ likeness to do this in the past, to the delight of nostalgic fans. This is definitely a way for them to pull together a surprise for audiences. It will be interesting to see whether the CGI is done so well that audiences are impressed, or if the internet will flood with complaints after the movie premieres. Hopefully, DC does Christopher Reeve, Adam West, and Lynda Carter proud.
