Exclusive: Jesse Plemons In Talks For Marvel Villain
Jesse Plemons is currently in talks to take on the role of a Marvel villain.
Jesse Plemons is arguably one of the top actors in the world right now, and through our trusted and proven sources, we can report that he is in talks to take on the role of a Marvel villain. There are plenty of villains that Plemons could take on, and plenty of movies with the MCU’s Phase 5 and 6 plans that could bring the actor in, leaving us to wonder who might be the next baddie that is targeted to hit the big screen.
We do know that a Fantastic Four movie is currently being worked on, and Dr. Doom is always the main antagonist for that group, but that role does not seem suited for Jesse Plemons. Well, he is an astounding actor, so maybe we are wrong on that front. Plemons has an amazing range and is able to capture the role of a killer quite well, so he could step into the role of Deacon Frost in Balde or as Sabretooth in the X-Men franchise.
Blade is currently in development, so it would make sense for Jesse Plemons to step into the role of Deacon Frost right now. The Marvel vampire movie has a release date of November 2023, so now would be the time for Plemons to be brought in to serve as Blade’s biggest antagonist. The role was previously held by Stephen Dorff in the Blade movie from 1998, which also starred Wesley Snipes as the famed vampire slayer.
X-Men is not on the MCU radar just yet, but there are more mutants being introduced in the current continuity. Ms. Marvel was revealed to be a mutant in the MCU series, which is a good move that should push forward the faction of Marvel. Also, it has been reported that Namor will be showcased as a mutant when he makes his debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, so it could stand to reason that Jesse Plemons is brought in as Sabretooth.
Another interesting suggestion could be that Jesse Plemons takes on the role of one of the most important Marvel villains for Daredevil, Bullseye. Bullseye and Daredevil have one of the greatest rivalries in comics, and with the new Daredevil: Born Again series on its way, it might be time to bring in Matt Murdock’s biggest foe. We know Kingpin is one of the biggest villains for the universe as well, but Bullseye needs to be a focal point for the new series, and Plemons can play the emotionless killer quite well.
Jesse Plemons theoretically has many villains from which he can choose. With all the shows and movies that are part of the MCU Phase 5 and 6 plans, there is a wealth of opportunity for the Oscar-nominated actor.
Jesse Plemons rose to prominence with his roles in Breaking Bad, The Power of the Dog, Windfall, and so many more. Although he has not yet broken into the comic world, adding him as a Marvel villain is a fantastic idea, and there are plenty of villains for the man to put his stamp on. We can’t wait to see who he gets to portray.
