Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is due to hit theaters in just over a week, and while the future of Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne within The Kang Dynasty remains unknown, Evangeline Lilly hopes Marvel Studios would consider giving the Wasp a solo movie. “I’m going to make a pitch that it might be time for a Hope spinoff. A Wasp standalone film,” the actress told Variety.

The actress made the revelation during the Los Angeles premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. According to The Daily Mail, the 43-year-old Lost star was dressed to the nines as they arrived at the Regency Village Theater. Evangeline Lilly looked glamorous in a pale key lime green dress which featured a fringe of long green feathers around her arms and shoulders.

The movie premiere isn’t the first time Evangeline Lilly talked about her character branching out on her own. The actress previously championed a potential A-Force movie, which would see all the female superheroes team up in one story. “Yes! I would like to be on it,” she told CinePop in 2022.

“I would like to make it happen,” Lily added.

The actress likened the hypothetical project to the scene in Avengers: Endgame which saw all the female characters team up against Thanos. “That day where it was just us women was the most special day I’ve ever had,” Evangeline Lilly explained, adding that the moment was probably tied with her most special day filming a Marvel movie.

Although Marvel hasn’t mentioned an all-female project before, Phase Five would be the perfect time to introduce the story mentioned by Evangeline Lilly. Published by Marvel Comics in May 2015, the series is part of the Secret Wars crossover and features Marvel’s first female-only team of Avengers. Created by G. Willow Wilson, Marguerite Bennett and Molina, the team first appeared in an alternate universe.

Due to its popularity, the team reemerged in Marvel’s primary continuity as well. The A-Force team has been described as decidedly feminist, receiving favorable reviews from fans and critics. Led by She-Hulk, the superhero group also features Captain Marvel, Medusa, Singularity, Nico Minoru, and Dazzler. While the lineup has changed with different comic book issues, Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp isn’t featured.

Interestingly, Evangeline Lilly’s favorite moment in Endgame is reminiscent of A-Force. In the scene, Captain Marvel, Wanda Maximoff, Pepper Potts, Shuri, Okoye, Wasp, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, and Valkyrie band together to usher the Infinity Stones past Thanos and his army to the Quantum Realm. Although their efforts failed, it was still pretty great.

Meanwhile, fans can catch Evangeline Lilly in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Directed by Peyton Reed from a script by Jeff Loveness, the story follows Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne as they explore the Quantum Realm. Accompanied by her parents and Scott’s daughter, the group is pushed to its limit when Cassie accidentally creates a Quantum Beacon and contacts Kang the Conqueror.

Starring alongside Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are Jonathan Majors, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O’Brian, and Bill Murray.
