If you thought that the MCU was the ultimate place for crossovers, then you’ve been missing out on all the craziness of the Fornite universe. A recent comic book crossover there saw Dwayne Johnson’s Fortnite character the Foundation teaming up with Batman, and now it looks like the Foundation will be teaming up with Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Black Panther‘s Shuri next.

Marvel and Fortnite have had a pretty solid relationship since 2018 when an ongoing in-game event let players collect the Infinity Stones and Infinity Gauntlet to become Thanos. They followed that up with the Nexus War event, which gave players plenty of Marvel-themed skins to equip as they went up against Galactus. Players can also equip Spider-Man’s web-shooters, allowing them to zip around the map in style. Though the Nexus War event had a one-shot comic to go along with it, the next Marvel and Fornite event is set to be their biggest one yet. Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War will feature Dwayne Johnson’s the Foundation and Spider-Man crossing paths as Spider-Man searches for a fragment of the Zero Point.

Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War will feature a five-part miniseries of comics written by Christos Gage and Epic Games’ Donald Mustard. Art will be handled by Sergio Davila. The miniseries will feature physical issues as well as digital rewards. Some sneak peek photos of the comics were recently released, with cover art from Leinil Francis Yu. In the cover art, you can see Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Shuri teaming up with members of The Seven from Fortnite, Agent Jones, and the Imagined. Another panel shows Spider-Man and Dwanye Johnson’s Foundation battling side by side as they attack a bunker. The comic is set to tell the story about Spider-Man and his friends hunting for the Zero Point fragment, while also revealing more history and lore about the Fortnite island. Take a look at the cover art and one of the pages from the comic below:

In addition to the Spider-Man and Dwayne Johnson team-up, the heroes will also have to defend the island against the forces of Doctor Slone as they try to complete their mission. There’s no news about what the digital rewards for the comic will be, but the Marvel and Fortnite team-ups have continued to be pretty exciting for fans, as they get new features, costumes, and villains to fight. Undoubtedly, they have something exciting up their sleeve for the players. With the number of crossovers that Fornite and the team at Epic have been able to put together, there’s no telling what the next crossover might be. Fans are hopeful that their good relationship with both Marvel and DC could mean a potential crossover between the two comic-book and cinema giants in the future. As far as that goes, we’ll likely just have to wait and see.

Fortunately, for the Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War, players won’t have to wait much longer at all. You can get all the Spider-Man, Dwayne Johnson, Shuri, and Wolverine team-up action when the first issue becomes available on June 8.
