Dave Bautista is a big dude, but his adorable Winnie the Pooh tattoo definitely reveals that he’s a big softie underneath it all. This is further evidenced by the fact that he got the tattoo after his young My Spy co-star Chloe Coleman was disappointed that he didn’t have the tattoo already. During an interview, Bautista revealed that during a “True or False” quiz, Coleman guessed “True” when asked if Bautista had a Winnie the Pooh tattoo and he decided to get one just for her (via MovieWeb).

As Dave Bautista tells it, Coleman said a bunch of nice things about him and explained why she thought he’d have a Winnie the Pooh tattoo. After guessing “True,” she got the wrong answer buzzer, and Bautista said “She was so disappointed, and I was disappointed for her. And I said, I don’t have one, but because I love you so much, I’m going to get one.”

That’s definitely one of the cutest tattoo stories out there. Dave Bautista co-starred with the then 9-year-old Coleman in the movie My Spy. The film followed Bautista’s CIA agent who finds himself training Coleman’s character to become a spy as well.

“She was so disappointed, and I was disappointed for her. And I said, I don’t have one, but because I love you so much, I’m going to get one.”

The mentor-mentee relationship between the characters clearly carried over into real life, as Dave Bautista got the cute tattoo just to commemorate their relationship. Bautista has plenty of tattoos and many of them probably have cool meanings behind them. But it’s definitely going to be hard for him to top this one.

Dave Bautista had quite a busy 2022 as he’s gradually wrapping up his tenure with the MCU. We briefly saw him as Drax at the beginning of Thor: Love and Thunder and then we got a whole Christmas special with Drax, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, and Kevin Bacon with The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Bautista will finally hang up Drax’s knives in his final outing as the character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2023.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will see James Gunn bringing the story of this Guardians team to an end. The film will also star Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Vin Diesel as Groot, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Chukwudi Iwuji as The High Evolutionary, and Will Poulter as Adam Warlock. We’ll get to see the trilogy capper in theaters on May 5.

Dave Bautista also has the massive blockbuster Dune: Part II lined up for 2023, where he reprises his role as Beast Rabban. Dune: Part II will finish up Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal novel and is set to come out on November 3. Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Stellen Skarsgard, Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, and Austin Butler also star.

While we wait for Dave Bautista’s blockbuster-filled lineup of 2023 films, you can check out his latest role in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The film is currently tearing up the streaming charts on Netflix and brings back Daniel Craig’s detective Benoit Blanc to investigate another rich-person mystery. The Rian Johnson-direct sequel also stars Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline.
