Chris Hemsworth got silly with it in a new Instagram post promoting his upcoming film, Extraction 2. In the video, we see the Thor actor jumping up and down and shaking it out in a perfectly styled look. In the clip’s caption, Hemsworth wrote that this was going to be the “greatest and most difficult stunt,” building anticipation for viewers. It doesn’t exactly work out that way.

The anticipation, paired with the blue-screen style flooring he is seen standing on, left viewers wondering exactly what kind of highly technical skill Chris Hemsworth would perform. After getting himself pumped up, Hemsworth runs forward, only to have a crew member help the actor into his jacket. After safely landing each arm into his puffy black coat, Hemsworth threw a spin and a fake kick at his peer before the two started to laugh. He definitely got us on this one. You can see the video below.

Fans have been waiting patiently for more content surrounding the action star’s newest film, Extraction 2. Back in December, we were treated to a sneak peek of Chris Hemsworth in character via the actor’s Instagram as well as a shot of him and the franchise’s returning director, Sam Hargrave. Filming in a chilly location, the two posed with snow and ice freezing to their beards and faces.

Extraction 2 will pick up where the first film left off. A Netflix sensation, Extraction followed the story of Chris Hemsworth’s character, Tyler Rake. An Australian special ops agent that turned into a free working mercenary, Rake’s services are sought out after an Indian drug lord’s son has been kidnapped. Through his determination and drive, Rake finds the boy, but soon realizes the young man is worth something to everyone around the globe. Racing against time, the odds, and his own personal demons, Rake will stop at nothing to do the right thing and make sure the boy is returned safely to his family. While the ending of the first film left audiences in the lurch, wondering the fate of the hero following a shot to the neck during a gun battle, it appears the hired soldier makes a full recovery and is back for another mission in the new feature.

Along with his role in the Extraction franchise, Chris Hemsworth has been conquering the action and adventure world for years. Known well to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hemsworth has been keeping viewers laughing and rooting for him as the God of Thunder himself, Thor, since he first picked up the Norse legend’s hammer in 2011. Since then, the Australian born thespian’s credits have only grown, including roles in films such as Men in Black: International, Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghostbusters (2016,) Bad Times at the El Royale, and many more.

With a total viewership count of 99 million households during its first four weeks on the streaming platform – the biggest number for one of their original films to date – it’s no shock as to why Netflix wanted to move forward with a sequel to Extraction. Though no plot has yet been revealed for the new film, we can be sure that Chris Hemsworth will be kicking butt and taking names as Tyler Rake once again. And, hopefully, we’ll get to see some more of those epic stunts on the actor’s Instagram in the upcoming days.
