Chris Evans is arguably the biggest actor in the world. At least in terms of Disney films. He played Captain America to expert status, elevating that hero to a status that no one will likely ever replicate. Now, the man has voiced the new version of Buzz Lightyear, in the film aptly titled, Lightyear. That covers two huge franchises already, but there is certainly a huge one missing within the Disney umbrella. That franchise is Star Wars. Evans was recently interviewed about this, and he all but begged to be added. He even claimed, “Even if I was just a stormtrooper, I’d be thrilled.” You can see the interview below:

Although the video is a lengthy 11 minutes, we have time-stamped it to get right to the juicy part about Chris Evans being asked about Star Wars. The hilarious nature of his response is he would be willing to play an unshown Stormtrooper or even a Wookie. We are not sure that Evans would be able to pull off being a Wookie, but that would still be great. There have been some secret cameos over the years that we have not known right from the start. Like Simon Pegg as the Unklar Plutt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

There are plenty of shows and films coming out that could potentially see Chris Evans step in. We do think it would have to be a bigger starring role though, as the man is one of the most popular actors right now. He could go the route of Pedro Pascal and land a multiple season show. There are truly so many ideas and it is a bit of a wonder why Evans has not been asked to appear in Star Wars. Well, we understand that is because he was busy portraying Captain America, but that is done now. Hopefully, Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni see this video and get the ball rolling.

Apart from voicing Buzz Lightyear, Chris Evans is set to star as the villain in The Gray Man, an espionage thriller headed to Netflix. Evans plays Lloyd, the deranged rival of Court, played by Ryan Gosling. The men are both spies who are now pitted against one another. Evans then appears alongside Ana de Armas in a romantic comedy called, Ghosted. He is also reuniting with Scarlett Johansson for a science-fiction film called Project Artemis. The man is clearly busy, but he sounds like he would certainly make time to appear in anything related to Star Wars.

Chris Evans fans can hear the man now, as Lightyear is currently out in theaters. The previously mentioned spy thriller, The Gray Man, is set to debut on Netflix on July 22nd. There is plenty of Evans for the foreseeable future, but maybe it’s time for him to jump ship to space. Imagine seeing the man wielding a lightsaber or rolling around in some bounty hunter getup. There are so many choices, and we are thoroughly confused as to why it hasn’t happened yet. Make this happen, Disney. Do it for Captain America.
