Fans of Game of Thrones will be happy to learn that actor Peter Dinklage has a new gig in another massive franchise. He is well known as the best Game of Thrones star for his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister, but Deadline reports that Peter Dinklage will be providing his voice as Scourge in the new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie.

Peter Dinklage became a household name for his outstanding portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones series. For his performance, he became a four-time Emmy winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama series, which is a record. He has also earned a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for the role, and we cannot wait to see him in the new Transformers movie.

Voicing the role of Scourge, Peter Dinklage is joined by a cast of talented individuals for the Transformers movie. Additional voice actors for the film include Liza Koshy as Arcee, John DiMaggio as Stratosphere, David Sobolov as Rhinox/Battletrap, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Nightbird, Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack, and Tobe Nwigwe as Reek.

Peter Dinklage will join the previously announced actors for Transformers: Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, Pete Davidson as Mirage, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, and Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) and will see a theatrical release on June 9, 2023. Peter Dinklage stars in the seventh live-action film in the Transformers franchise.

Peter Dinklage is known for his roles in films like Elf, Penelope, Death at a Funeral, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.  He joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2018 when he starred in Avengers: Infinity War as Eitri and will now join the Transformers franchise as Scourge.

The seventh installment in the Transformers franchise will focus on Noah (Ramos), an ex-military gearhead, and Elena (Fishback), a museum researcher, as they become involved in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

We are more than excited to see Peter Dinklage in the new Transformers movie, as he is an outstanding actor who puts his all into every role he plays. He recently starred in Cyrano, where he played the titular character in this musical romance. Cyrano, a wordsmith, is too self-conscious to woo Roxanne (Haley Bennett), so he aids Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) in capturing her heart. This story was modernized in the 1987 film, Roxanne, starring Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah.

The trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts looks surprisingly good, and adds plenty of nostalgia, especially when it comes to the Maximals. Peter Dinklage is a welcome addition to Transformers, and his voice work in this film will undoubtedly be something to remember.

Peter Dinklage has several other projects upcoming. Next, he will star in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Hitpig, and The Thicket. He will also star as the title character in the superhero black-comedy, The Toxic Avenger film with Kevin Bacon and Elijah Wood. This film is a reboot and contemporary reimagining of the 1984 film of the same title.
