Arnold Schwarzenegger has had a whirlwind career. Most fans know him from his work in Predator. He is of course the titular character in The Terminator. But the prolific actor has been known for other accomplishments as well. For example, he was the Governor of California for a term. Now, he has great things to say about Kevin Costner’s smash hit show, Yellowstone. Anyone would be hard-pressed to find someone who isn’t raving about Taylor Sheridan’s modern Western. But it is a delight to see fellow action star Arnold Schwarzenegger joining in the fray.

Schwarzenegger praises the show in his recent newsletter at Schwarzenegger.com. “Movie of the month: Yellowstone. I know this is not a movie, but I have been getting much more into watching TV shows with my new Netflix show starting soon. I love this show, it is fantastic!” Schwarzenegger stated. Yellowstone has just started its fourth season on Paramount Network and is more popular than ever. The Western follows the saga of the multi-generational Dutton family, who struggle to keep their ranch afloat in a fast-paced, modern world. Arnold Schwarzenegger is not alone in his love for the series. Its Sunday night premieres usually go over seven million viewers. And this does not take into account viewers that tune in later (via Cinema Blend).

The Kevin Costner-led series has become so popular that Yellowstone now has its own prequel series as well. Yellowstone 1883 has an all-star cast and recently debuted to record-breaking numbers. Perhaps Arnold Schwarzenegger will be speaking up about that series soon as well.

It should also be no surprise that Arnold Schwarzenegger is outspoken. Even though he ran as a Republican in his Gubernatorial run, the ex-governor has been outwardly critical of Donald Trump. Most notably this occurred during the January 6th insurrection. In a video on Twitter, Schwarzenegger compared the Capitol invasion to his experience growing up in Austria (Via The Wrap). He equated the Night of Broken Glass to the insurrection in a powerful statement.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been candid about many political opinions. Schwarzenegger is one of the celebrities that is bringing attention to climate change. He has been vocal about his frustration with policies that ignore the significant damage that climate change is creating. In a BBC Radio 4 interview, the actor joined the conversation in 39 Ways to Save the Planet.  Schwarzenegger is one celebrity who uses his fame for a good cause. Politicians have been suspiciously quiet on the subject of climate change, making celebrities like Schwarzenegger and Leonardo DiCaprio scream into the void about policies they feel should be implemented (via The Guardian).

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s future does not just entail his hot topic opinions. The actor also has several new projects on the docket. Like many actors, Schwarzenegger’s work was impeded by the pandemic that put a stop to many productions. But now his credits are starting to stack up again. One of the most anticipated new properties will be a sequel to a famous movie. Schwarzenegger will be appearing in a sequel to Twins. The sequel is entitled Triplets and is set to start filming next year.

Schwarzenegger will not just be involved with this film. Also announced is an untitled television series that the actor will be starring in. According to Deadline, Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to star in a spy drama for Netflix. He mentioned that he started watching Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone as he moved forward with his new Netflix series. Scheduled for eight episodes, Schwarzenegger will appear as a spy who works with his daughter on covert missions. Starring Monica Barbaro as his daughter, the television series will be Schwarzenegger’s first experience in producing scripted television. With so many responsibilities, it is a wonder that the actor has time to enjoy Kevin Costner’s work.
