Alec Baldwin To Interview Hollywood’s Most Controversial Director
Alec Baldwin has been the subject of a lawsuit and controversy, and now he plans to interview the most controversial director.
Alec Baldwin has had enough drama surrounding his name, after the tragic events that took place on the set of Rust, where Halyna Hutchins lost her life. Since then, the actor has been trying to make his way back into the limelight. However, it appears as if he is going to be taking a step backward, as he is now going to interview Woody Allen. Allen has been the subject of plenty of scrutiny after his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow claimed that she was sexually abused by Allen. Those claims were made even more public when the HBO docuseries called Allen v. Farrow premiered in 2021. Baldwin made the announcement on his Instagram, along with lengthy text added that exclaims he is not going to care what people think about this interview. You can see the post below:
Alec Baldwin has stated that he has, “ZERO INTEREST in anyone’s judgments and sanctimonious posts here. I am OBVIOUSLY someone who has my own set of beliefs and COULD NOT CARE LESS about anyone else’s speculation. If you believe that a trial should be conducted by way of an HBO documentary, that’s your issue.” That is certainly an odd stance to take when interviewing someone who has been surrounded by this much controversy, especially considering he has been surrounded by his own controversy. This is just an odd step to take when the past eight months have been bout Baldwin getting his name cleared in wrongdoing for the events that took place on the set of Rust.
Based on the allegations made by Dylan Farrow and alongside her mother Mia Farrow, Woody Allen had his 2019 film, A Rainy Day in New York pulled from Amazon Studios. Hachette Book Group also confirmed that they refused to publish the man’s memoir as well. This happened during the 2019 #metoo movement, and those allegations became much more known when the docuseries had been released. Allen has outright denied those claims, and who knows if that is going to be the subject of the interview enacted by Alec Baldwin. He did show a book called Zero Gravity, which is a collection of humorous stories that were written by Allen. That is likely what the two men are going to talk about and leave the personal controversies out of the conversation.
This is just an oddly timed interview. There is no other way around it. As previously stated, Alec Baldwin has been riddled with controversy since the events that took place in October, where someone lost their life. The investigation is still ongoing, and the family of Halyna Hutchins has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Baldwin, producers, and crew from the set of the film. Now Baldwin is going to interview an alleged sexual abuser, which is not going to help his public image much.
Based on his Instagram post, Alec Baldwin also does not care what anyone thinks about his upcoming interview with Woody Allen.
