Zoe Saldana took to Instagram to post a video with her and her husband eating pizza in bed, and insinuating something else.
Zoe Saldana recently confirmed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would mark her final appearance as the character Gamora in the MCU, and even though she revealed filming the upcoming sequel was bittersweet, she looks to be in good spirits based on her latest Instagram post.
The actress typically uses the social media platform to share images of herself posing in sexy outfits, but her most recent post sees her cutting loose a bit to enjoy some pizza in bed with her husband Marco Perego Saldana. The update was posted a mere 23 hours ago, and it’s already amassed close to 200,000 likes.
In the short clip, Zoe Saldana and her husband use text captions and cute facial expressions to communicate with one another. The video starts off on the frisky side, with Marco asking the star if they can do it in the evening in their bed, insisting that he’s hungry. Just as our minds begin to venture to inappropriate places, the video cuts to the two lovebirds snuggled up in their bed with boxes of pizza laid out in front of them.
The video was an instant hit with her Instagram followers, with many taking to the comments to compliment the couple’s sense of humor, their chemistry, and their youthful energy. Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco have been married since 2013. And although the former tends to fly solo in most of her posts to the social network, she occasionally shares the spotlight with her beau. Not surprisingly, Saldana’s nine million followers go absolutely nuts anytime they see the duo together.
Outside of social media, Zoe Saldana is keeping extremely busy with a seemingly demanding acting schedule. She recently finished shooting scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and wrapped filming on the long-awaited sequel to Avatar. Additionally, she is set to appear as her character Neytiri in three more installments of the James Cameron-directed franchise following this year’s Avatar: The Way of the Water.
Avatar: The Way of the Water is set to arrive in theaters December 16, 2022, with a ridiculously-long runtime of three hours and 10 minutes (190 minutes). In addition to Zoe Saldana, the hotly anticipated sequel stars Sam Worthington, Michelle Yeoh, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang, Jemaine Clement, and Bailey Bass. James Cameron wrote, directed, and produced the forthcoming feature.
Looking ahead, a new Star Trek film was recently announced to be in the very early stages of development at Paramount Pictures, and Zoe Saldana is rumored to be returning as the character Lieutenant Uhura. Series stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, and John Cho are also expected to return. Plot details are being kept under wraps and no release date has been set at this time.
Most recently, Zoe Saldana appeared in the Netflix original miniseries From Scratch, which premiered on the platform a little over a week ago. The actress stars as Amy Wheeler, an American woman who falls in love with a Sicilian man while studying aboard in Italy. The limited show has been praised by critics, and currently sits with 92% score on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
