Tom Hanks: world-renowned actor, philanthropist, and singer? Over the weekend, the beloved Forrest Gump star attended a baseball game in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium. There, he was caught on camera leading the crowd in the seventh inning stretch tradition, by singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” He is seen arm in arm with his son Chet, as both gentlemen belt out the lyrics for one of the U. S’s most iconic ballads. You can see the video below:

Tom Hanks is full of life in the video, as he waves his arms in unison with the lyrics of the song, and points to the crowd with full enthusiasm. TMZ also reported that the actor was tracking the game using an old-school diamond score sheet, which is a classic way in which fans would pay attention to who was winning before the big jumbotron screens came into the picture. Hanks must have been the good luck charm, as the Dodgers beat the Phillies with a final score of 5-4 during the game. He certainly helped matters by getting into the spirit of America’s favorite pastime.

It’s good to see Tom Hanks and his son enjoying some time together in public, as Chet is often the more overlooked of the Hanks tribe. Although he is beginning to carve out a nice acting slate of his own. His older brother Colin is a bit more established currently though. Colin Hanks is a respected actor in his own right. His more recent projects were recurring roles on two television shows called American Crime Story and The Offer. Colin has also appeared in Band of Brothers, the Jumanji reboot franchise, and King Kong. Chet has recently spent time on Your Honor and Atlanta. He also starred alongside his father in the AppleTV+ film, Greyhound. Regardless, it seems that the Hanks family is establishing themselves much further in the throes of Hollywood.

Tom Hanks is currently a producer for the filming of Masters of the Air, which is a sequel series to the heavily regarded HBO military epic, Band of Brothers. He is also set to star alongside Austin Butler in the Elvis biopic, which is set to release next month. Hanks looks completely transformed in the film for his role as Colonel Tom Parker. The film is already being regarded as a fantastic biopic, and even Elvis’s daughter, Lisa, praised the film recently. Tom is also set to appear as Gepetto in the new live-action remake of the classic Disney film, Pinocchio. That film is slated for a potential September release.

It’s always great to see families out enjoying their days, and what better way than a baseball game. Tom Hanks and his son Chet looked to be having a fantastic time with one another, and that is what life is all about. Tom can now add singing to his already extensive resume. If there happens to be another Toy Story film ever made, the actor might think about replacing Randy Newman as the film’s original music composer. Ok, that is a bit of a stretch, but crazier things have happened.
