Sylvester Stallone’s Wife Files For Divorce After 25-Year Marriage
Sylvester Stallone is running into some tough issues lately. The rights to Rocky still do not belong to him, and now his wife of 25 years has filed for divorce.
Sylvester Stallone might be one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but the man is going through some tough times. He recently publicly defamed the long-time producer of the Rocky franchise, as Stallone has stated that the rights to the movies he created should fall to him. Now, it has been reported that his wife of 25 years has filed for divorce from the actor. Jennifer Flavin filed “for dissolution of marriage and other relief” in a court in Palm Beach, Florida on Friday. This news comes swiftly after the pair had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Stallone posted the celebration on his Instagram page. You can see this post below:
Sylvester Stallone and Flavin have three children together: Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia. Stallone addressed the split to PEOPLE, “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.” This is just speculation, but the actor might be indicating that the pair could be working on their issues privately, despite his wife filing for divorce in court. We don’t know the particulars of the relationship but ending a 25-year marriage is not something that happens overnight. They either have some strong issues that cannot be resolved, or they could lean on their long-standing relationship to try and fix those issues.
Despite his personal issues, Sylvester Stallone is staying plenty busy. His new superhero film, Samaritan, is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video this Friday. The film looks like it has the makings of Wil Smith’s Hancock, but with an even darker plot. The man is also going to star in Tulsa King, which is the new series created by Yellowstone genius Taylor Sheridan. The series will see Stallone take on the role of a mob boss Dwight Manfredi. Stallone is then going to reprise his role as Barney Ross in The Expendables 4, which is set to be the final film in that franchise. His other franchise-ending performance will be reprising his role as Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Stallone is plenty busy, which could be a reason why his wife is now wanting to file for divorce.
Hopefully, Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin can work things out, and possibly stay together. We understand that just because you love someone does not mean you should be with that person, but they have built quite a life with one another. Marriage is never easy, and it takes a ton of work. Stallone’s response to the news could be indicating that he wants to work it out.
Sylvester Stallone might need to take a break in the future. Especially because it seems that he is stressed out, including over the rights to the Rocky universe not being in his control. Instead of insulting the man that owns them, he might think about attempting to make a deal to secure them. Also, he could do well by spending more time at home with his family.
