Sydney Sweeney has been lighting up everyone’s screen lately with her performances in various movies and hit TV shows, but she also blesses us by lighting up social media in her spare time. Her latest post shows off a black sheer dress and some stunning makeup courtesy of Armani Beauty. Take a look at the post below:
Sydney Sweeney has quickly become one of the most popular young stars in Hollywood, and her Instagram presence is definitely on point. Though Sweeney had some breakout roles in the TV series Everything Sucks! and The Handmaid’s Tale, she has really become a superstar after her roles in the critically acclaimed HBO series The White Lotus and Euphoria. Both of those series had casts that were stacked with talent, so the fact that Sweeney is able to stand out with her performances just makes them all the more impressive.
Of course, that level of popularity and talent doesn’t go unnoticed, and Sydney Sweeney has nabbed a couple of high-profile roles that we’ll get to see in the near future. The first of which will be in a movie called National Anthem, which was written and directed by Tony Tost. The movie tells the story of a rare Lakota Ghost shirt hitting the black market in a small town in South Dakota, causing the lives of various interested parties to violently meet. Sweeney will be starring alongside Zahn McClarnon, Halsey, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, Paul Walter Hauser, Harriet Sansom Harris, Toby Huss, and many more. The movie is in post-production with no release date yet announced, but we’re sure to hear more about it soon.
While Sydney Sweeney has been in a lot of major TV shows, she hasn’t really had a blockbuster movie role yet. She starred in The Voyeurs in 2021, but you definitely wouldn’t call that movie a tentpole theater event in the vein of a Marvel or Star Wars-level movie. That’s about to change though, as Sweeney was announced to be starring in the upcoming Sony superhero film Madame Web. Madame Web is part of Sony’s “Spiderverse” films that are based on the Spider-Man characters they have the rights to. Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant that sometimes assists Spider-Man. While Dakota Johnson has been announced for the lead, it’s unclear what Sweeney’s role will be in this film. Along with Johnson, Sweeney will be co-starring alongside Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, and Tahar Rahim. S.J. Clarkson directs with writing credits going to Kerem Sanga, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless. The details on this movie are pretty light as of now, but it’s expected to come out in July 2023.
While we don’t know exactly when Sydney Sweeney’s next project will release, you can count on her to keep fans updated on her Instagram. As a frequent poster, she’s always making posts about her life, upcoming roles, and model shoots. Make sure to give Sweeney a follow if you want to keep up and stay tuned to GIANT FREAKIN ROBOT for updates on her projects.
