Sofia Vergara is a hard-working person, which shows in her social media. A large portion of her Instagram posts has to do with her current job as one of the hosts of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, a position she has held since 2020. On the hit reality competition show, she is frequently positioned as an exuberant, cheerful fire to the eternally icy Simon Cowell, with co-hosts Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum operating as something like the lukewarm water between them. But fortunately for us, Sofia Vergara also uses her social media to remind people that she is unquestionably one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, plus a little America’s Got Talent reminder. In the posted image, Sofria Vergara is wearing a spectacular black body suit. The top portion of the body suit is encrusted with a thick layer of crystals of varying different sizes; if you did not look closely, you might think she was wearing a top made entirely out of shimmering crystals. You might also be distracted by the rest of the top, which is daringly low-cut and accentuates her famous curves.
The bottom half of Sofia Vergara’s body suit is clingingly tight and includes a metallic kind of sash across her right hip (which is, naturally, fetchingly cocked in a pose). Her famously lustrous hair is falling across her bare shoulders, while her lips are made up in a vibrant, lively red. Her eyes are thickly lined with dark mascara, and really, the whole image is very much premium Sofia Vergara.
The Colombian actress is most famous for portraying Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the hit ABC sitcom Modern Family, for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for four years running. Sofia Vergara was both praised and criticized for her performance in the ensemble comedy, with some lauding her exuberant, unapologetic role as a Latin woman and others criticizing her for allegedly perpetuating cultural stereotypes.
Sofia Vergara has also received some criticism for her lead role in the upcoming Netflix series Griselda, in which she will portray Griselda Blanco, one of the most feared and powerful drug cartel leaders in history. Griselda Blanco led the Medellín Cartel for decades, helping to fuel the Miami cocaine trade, and was particularly known for her willingness to both order and personally commit violent acts, even by the standards of drug cartels. Sofia Vergara bears little to no resemblance to the real-life Griselda Blanco and it can be argued that casting a very beautiful and dynamic actress to portray a real-life mass murderer is glamorizing a terrifying and horrible trade, but hey, that’s show business for you. Until we see how she does in Griselda, we will just be keeping a close eye on Sofia Vergara’s Instagram.
