Throughout her career, Florence Pugh has stepped into the lives of a variety of characters, with each being somehow even more different from the next. In her latest project, titled A Good Person, Pugh has transformed into a woman reeling from a tragic accident who forms an unlikely bond with the man who was supposed to become her father-in-law. Ahead of the trailer’s debut, the actress took to Instagram, in a post which you can see below, to show off her newest character’s look.

With short hair, Florence Pugh is almost unrecognizable as Allison, the woman at the center of Zach Braff’s latest feature. She wears a cozy beige sweater covered with colorful triangles while looking off into the distance. Revealing plenty of emotion with only her eyes, A Good Person looks like it will be another heartfelt tear-jerker from the director who brought us the indie-classic, Garden State.

Eyeing a theatrical release in March 2023, Florence Pugh stars in A Good Person alongside a star-studded cast that includes names such as Morgan Freeman, Celeste O’Connor, Molly Shannon, and Zoe Lister-Jones. Along with directing, Braff also penned the movie and will also serve as a producer. Well known for his role in the legendary comedy Scrubs, the last several years have seen Braff branch out to make a name for himself behind the screen as well.

One of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood, Florence Pugh’s name has been all over call sheets as of late, appearing in three major features this year alone: Olivia Wilde’s thriller Don’t Worry Darling, Sebastián Lelio’s psychological period drama The Wonder, and as the animated Goldilocks in the long-awaited Puss in Boots sequel, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. At the tail end of 2021, she reprised her role as Yelena Belova in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, a part that she’s expected to be seen in again as the MCU marches towards Phases 5 and 6. Next, she’ll take the lead in the aforementioned A Good Person, but that’s not all the Midsommar actress has up her sleeve for the approaching year.

2023 is all about the drama for Florence Pugh as the Little Women actress will also appear in the American biographical drama Oppenheimer as well as the highly anticipated fantasy film Dune: Part Two. In the former, she’ll appear as Jean Tatlock, a psychiatrist and physician, who has an off-the-books romance with the film’s titular physicist and the father of the atomic bomb. In the second chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of the fan-favorite book-turned-film series Dune, Pugh joins the cast as Princess Irulan.

Florence Pugh fans have a lot to be excited about with the drama queen’s film schedule packed for the foreseeable future. While her talents can cross multiple genres, there’s no denying that Pugh shines in a more serious and thoughtful role — which is why we can’t wait to see her in A Good Person. Check out the photo at the top of the page, and keep your eyes peeled for the film’s trailer which is set to drop in the very near future.
