When she isn’t steaming it up with her fellow Battlestar Galactica co-stars, Tricia Helfer is taking on the world all by herself via Instagram. In a newly released set of images, which you can catch below, Helfer can be seen in a low-cut white tank top, tight blue jeans, and a cowboy hat to boot. Sharing her love for animals, the actress poses next to a precious donkey in two of the shots, trading it in for an equally cute goat in the final two.

In her caption, Tricia Helfer wrote that she was “hankering to play a Texas Ranger again” before tagging her photographer at the bottom. The caption is in reference to the star’s short-lived ABC crime-drama series, Killer Women, in which she played the role of a no-nonsense Texas Ranger named Molly Parker. While it’s been almost a decade since the show came and went, it seems as though Helfer is ready to get back in the saddle, and with the soaring success of the Jared Padalecki-led Walker and its prequel series Walker: Independence, we don’t see why Helfer’s crime-fighting dreams can’t come true.

Most of us know Tricia Helfer from her time spent toying with minds and rocking a red dress in Battlestar Galactica where she starred as one of the main characters and antagonists, the Cylon known as Number Six. Throughout the series, she stays partnered up with narcissistic genius Gaius Baltar (James Callis) with the duo having a major push-pull dynamic. While the project wasn’t Helfer’s first role, it was certainly the performance that gave her the boost to expand her career to the genre-crossing juggernaut that it’s grown into over the last two decades.

From Battlestar Galactica, Tricia Helfer would appear in a slew of one-off television spots including roles on hit shows including Supernatural and Two and a Half Men before landing recurring parts on both Lucifer and Van Helsing. She would also reprise her beloved role as everyone’s favorite Cylon in spinoff projects centered in the Battlestar Galactica universe. Most recently, she appeared in episodes of The Rookie and Big Shot and is set to hold down a recurring role in the Step Up movie franchise spinoff television series, Step Up: High Water.

On the film side of things, Tricia Helfer has some smaller credits under her belt but made audiences fall in love with her all over again after recently appearing in Jeff Baena’s dark comedy feature Spin Me Round. Starring Alison Brie, the film centers on Amber (Brie), the manager of an Italian restaurant chain in California who gets the chance of a lifetime after becoming the lucky winner of an all-expenses paid trip to Pisa, Italy to study alongside some of the restaurant’s masters. Not letting the good opportunity pass her by, Amber packs her bags and travels out of the country on the adventure of a lifetime.

With the latest Instagram images serving as a look into the life of Tricia Helfer, we’re excited to see that she’s enjoying some downtime in between a busy filming career. And, while we don’t know when or if the actress will get her dream of portraying a Texas Ranger again, this photo should certainly prove the case that such a show would be a hit.
