Krysten Ritter channeled Morticia Addams in a recent social media post. The actress looked the part as she posed in a sleek black Lever Couture gown. Fans flocked to the comments section, citing the similarities to the Adams Family matriarch. Some even suggested that she should be cast as a young version of the popular character.

The hauntingly beautiful images are outtakes from a November 2022 shoot for Schön! Magazine. Krysten Ritter previously shared a video montage from her day on set, showing off several outfits. The clip also gives fans a closer look at the Morticia Adams-inspired look. The 41-year-old was also styled with long red gloves and a chunky silver bracelet.

Away from social media, rumors of Krysten Ritter returning as Jessica Jones have been circulating since Charlie Cox joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Daredevil. Now that Marvel Studios have reclaimed The Defenders from their original outing on Netflix, speculation about which actors will reprise their roles has taken on a life of its own.

Krysten Ritter added fuel to the fire a few weeks ago when she posted a workout video to Instagram Stories. In the clip, which was captured and reposted by fans, the actress is seen using weights and the treadmill. She also wore a Daredevil shirt with the words “I Choose Justice” appearing around the logo. As a result, fans were quick to believe that the actress is preparing to become Jessica Jones.

Speaking to Screen Rant in 2021, Krysten Ritter talked about her time as Jessica Jones. When asked if she’d like to play the character again, the actress offered an eager response. “I would absolutely just die to play Jessica again. I had the best time doing it and I just love her so much,” she told the publication. The 41-year-old explained that she’s extremely proud of that character too.

But that’s not just because it was a great role. Krysten Ritter said Jessica Jones really resonated with people in a way that not many others have. “She really resonated with women and girls, trauma survivors. I’m so grateful to have been a part of it,” she said. The Breaking Bad alum added that if there’s ever an opportunity for her to put on those boots again, she will be there in a flash.

Created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg, Jessica Jones is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and follows the continuity of the films. It was the second series leading to the crossover miniseries The Defenders. The story followed an ex-superhero turned private investigator named Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) who opens her own detective agency.

Following its 2015 premiere, the Krysten Ritter series received rave reviews from critics who praised its tone and exploration of heavy topics like rape, assault, and post-traumatic stress disorder. However, by the second and third seasons, the positive response gradually lessened. When the streamer’s deal with Marvel Television expired, Jessica Jones was canceled along with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher.
