See Jenna Ortega In A High Slit Gothic Bridal Gown
Jenna Ortega stuns in a black slit wedding dress for the Wednesday premiere.
Jenna Ortega attended the star-studded premiere of Wednesday last night, which is the rebooted Addams Family series that is led by famed macabre director, Tim Burton. Ortega decided to step things up a notch by wearing a high-slit gothic bridal gown that was famously on the runway for the spring season 2023 ready-to-wear fashion show. Quite honestly, she looks amazing in the outfit and the aesthetic pairs well with her character in the new series.
Jenna Ortega leads the Wednesday series, which is set to debut on Netflix next week. She is joined by Luis Guzman as Gomez, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsly, George Burcea as Lurch, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, and Christina Ricci as the headmaster of Nevermore Academy, Marilyn Thornhill. The new series is meant to take the Addams Family in a new direction, and the trailers have shown a much more adult version of everyone’s favorite creepy family. Clearly, Ortega is taking in the creepy nature of the series by dressing in an outfit to match the dark tone of the new show.
Wednesday is set to be eight episodes long and will begin a new chapter into the Addams Family franchise that follows Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), which we expect to continue past this first outing. Tim Burton is a masterful director, and we would imagine that Netflix is going to want to ensure that he stays on for as many seasons as possible. Burton has directed four of the eight episodes, with James Marshall and Gandja Monteiro directing two each to make up the rest of the season.
We are not sure if Burton would stay on as a director past this first season if there is going to be a second season, but he would likely want to remain at least an executive producer of some kind if Netflix continues this Jenna Ortega-led story. Ortega seems to be taking on a central horror figure-type role now, as she is also one of the main actors in the Scream franchise. She appears to be embracing that role, as she walked the premiere in her pseudo-horror Queen dress for the Wednesday premiere.
As previously mentioned, Jenna Ortega is also set to star in the next Scream movie, which will see her reprise her role as Tara Carpenter. With Never Campbell no longer a part of the franchise because of contractual disputes, we could see Ortega become the new main protagonist in the franchise going forward. Should that happen, she would be leading two of the major horror franchises that have ever been created.
Jenna Ortega looks fantastic in her macabre wedding dress, and it looks as though the dark and haunting outfit is going to match up well with Burton’s direction for this new Addams Family adventure. We can’t wait to see the new series, which will officially release on Netflix on November 23rd. For those who have not yet seen what this new series has to offer, there are trailers available online to showcase the tone that Burton has taken this new adaptation.
