Winter is in full swing, and while the drop in temperatures may be keeping some of us down, that’s simply not the case for Penelope Cruz. Always one to dazzle no matter what she wears, the Academy Award-winning star is at it again, this time striking a pose in a gorgeous – and warm – fur coat. A fan account on Instagram shared the cozy yet chic look that sees the Waking Up in Reno actress donning a black fur coat and staying warm even with nothing on underneath.

It’s shots like these that make it hard to believe that Penelope Cruz has been wowing us with her critically acclaimed performances for three decades, as the actress doesn’t look a day over 30. A daring dresser, there’s no garment too out there for Cruz to try on. And, with this latest fur look, we’re doubling down on our support for Cruz’s continued push of the fashion envelope.

While she blows our minds with her unique taste in clothing, it’s through her acting chops that Penelope Cruz has developed a fandom that has followed her through 30 years of projects. Unlike many stars in Hollywood, Cruz has found a niche not only in English-language films but also in her native dialect of Spanish. She first broke onto the scene back in 1992 in the Spanish-language romantic dramedy Jamón Jamón, where she starred opposite fellow Hollywood hot-shot Javier Bardem, with her career only continuing to skyrocket from there.

While she would continue to flourish in Spanish-speaking roles, it was with 1998’s The Hi-Lo Country that Penelope Cruz began to become a recognized name in the world of English-language films. From here, the actress quickly became a staple in the American entertainment biz, appearing opposite major names like Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp, before 2008 would see her reuniting with Javier Bardem in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. For her role in the rom-com, Cruz would nab a slew of critical acclaim, including bragging rights for earning both an Academy and BAFTA award.

It’s more than safe to say that the years following her major wins have been more than kind to Penelope Cruz, who has been a consistent fixture in the world of Spanish, English, and even French-language projects. While many stars slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Cruz went full speed ahead, signing on for productions including Pedro Almodóvar’s Spanish drama Parallel Mothers and Simon Kinberg’s spy thriller The 355. So, when can we next expect to see the woman of many talents?

Soon, Penelope Cruz will sit in the driver’s seat in Michael Mann’s highly anticipated biographical feature, Ferrari, which will tell the story of the legendary car creator, Enzo Ferrari. In the fast-paced film, Cruz will star as Enzo Ferrari’s wife, Laura Ferrari, and joins a star-studded call sheet that includes Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari, with Shailene Woodley, Gabriel Leone, Sarah Gadon, Jack O’Connell, and Patrick Dempsey filling out the ensemble cast. As of right now, the film is expected to race into theaters in 2023.
