Nicolas Cage might be going through a mid-life crisis, or he is celebrating his fame resurgence, as the man now has a shocking new hair color.
Nicolas Cage is going through a bit of a Renaissance, as the man is once again beloved by all. Well, that’s not to say that anyone hated him, but his most recent films have shot him back into superstardom. Mandy, Pig, and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent have reminded everyone why Cage is such a fantastic actor. However, the man might possibly be going through a mid-life crisis. The actor was caught on Twitter, sporting a brand-new look. This new look is comprised of bright red hair. He might have done so because of a part, or because he is having a bit of fun. Nicolas Cage was recently going through tons of press tours for his newest film, which is the previously mentioned The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent masterpiece. The new film saw the man play an exaggerated version of himself, which has already gained a cult following. He starred alongside Pedro Pascal, which saw both men be hilarious with one another. Cage’s newest acting role is appearing in a frontier-themed TV series called Butcher’s Crosing. We are quite sure that red hair is not needed for that series. Cage will follow that up with a film called The Retirement Plan, which sees him play an estranged father with a troubled past, who must return to his ways to save his daughter. Both the series and film are in the post-production stages, so it is likely he did not need red hair for either.
The man might just be in a holding pattern until his next role started, so he wanted to have some fun by dying his hair. We see nothing wrong with that. Nicolas Cage could have any kind of color of hair, and everyone would still appreciate what he is doing in the acting world currently. His more recent films, even the more underground features, have all been lauded by fans. We did report that he was in talks to reprise his role as Castor Troy in a Face/Off 2 sequel, so that could be where the red hair comes from. It would make sense for Castor Troy to want to rock some different colored hair. Either way, the new hair is working for Cage.
Nicolas Cage has certainly been surprising people lately with his incredible performances, and his new hair might just be one of those surprises. The man deserves to have some fun in his life. We are just jealous that we wouldn’t be able to rock a look like that.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is currently available on digital and Blu-Ray. The film is quite fantastic and shows that Nicolas Cage belongs back in comedy.
