We found the hidden treasure. Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline melted her Instagram fanbase with a post of her looking back at the camera with nothing on but nylons and a few strings of pearls. The photo is part of a series from the fashion trends company Who What Wear, which featured the Glass Onion actress in a January cover story.
The photo captures Cline’s signature pouty lips, her face tucked just behind her shoulder as she looks back smoldering at the camera. Pearls fall down bare, arched back, highlighting the actress’s trim figure. There is no doubt that Madelyn Cline is asserting herself as one of Hollywood’s freshest beauties.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Madelyn Cline has been acting here and there since childhood. She dropped out of college to move to LA and pursue acting, a move that was, at first, anxiety inducing. Through all the fear and shoddy apartments that characterized her early days in LA, she was eventually cast in Stranger Things as Tina, one of the preppy girls hanging around with Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington, and later in director Joel Edgerton’s 2018 film Boy Erased.
Madelyn Cline got her real big break when she was cast in a lead role on Netflix’s smash hit Outer Banks. The show tracks a group of teenagers from opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum as they follow a long lost treasure map through the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Cline became an overnight celebrity thanks to the show, which she stars in alongside Chase Stokes, Madison Bailey, J.D., Rudy Pankow, and Austin North.
The series dropped during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and gained massive popularity. It has become a modern staple in the teen genre, blending gossipy drama with Goonies-esque adventure, but its popularity brought a whirlwind of emotions for Madelyn Cline and the rest of the cast. The show was ubiquitous upon its release, and Cline had to filter the show out of her Instagram algorithm to avoid its overwhelming presence.
Netflix has been kind to Madelyn Cline. The actress also appeared in the late 2022 Netflix smash hit Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. In this followup from Knives Out writer/director Rian Johnson, Cline plays Whiskey, the girlfriend of Dave Bautista’s men’s rights YouTuber, Duke Cody.

Apart from acting, Madelyn Cline discussed with Who What Wear her TikTok addiction, her love of video games, and her efforts at playing tennis. While she claims she is bad at the game, she is bent on getting good so she can one day be a hot mom tennis player. Given the evidence, it seems her dream may come true.
