The original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, decided to give fans some throwback photos of her. Since most people are attending the music festival, Coachella, this weekend, there are often looks that showcase the younger crowd attempting to look as though they stepped right out of the 1970s. This “hippie” and retro look is something that brought back Lynda to her former self, to which she shared a pic of herself via her Twitter page. Honestly, she looks amazing in the throwback photos. You can see the photo below:
Lynda Carter decided to have some fun at the behest of those who might throw on the old-school-looking clothes for their trip to Coachella. Apparently, Wonder Woman knows all about how the 1970s looked, as she demonstrated in her throwback photo. She looks just as spectacular now as she did in this photo.
Apparently, Lynda Carter wasn’t finished with showing some of her throwback photos, as she posed next to her glass-encased Wonder Woman costume. While we all wish she would put the costume on again, the actress joked that she would only break the glass of the memorabilia collectible if it was needed. Sorry if this comes as a surprise to those reading, but she did make a great cameo appearance in Wonder Woman 1984. Carter appeared in the final scene of the film as Asteria, which is basically the Goddess champion of the Amazonians. The golden armor that Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) uses in Wonder Woman 1984 to defeat Max Lord and Cheetah also belonged to Asteria at one point in the mythos of the Amazonians.
Based on the above throwback photo, some fans or haters told Lynda Carter that she was posting “thirst traps.” How does the actress address those claims? By hilariously posting a throwback photo of an ad that she did with famed comedian, Don Rickles. Carter and Rickles teamed up for an ad that showcased quenching thirst with Diet 7UP. You have to hand it to the woman; she certainly knows how to take people’s critiques and turn them around.
Lynda Carter appeared in Wonder Woman in the 1970s. Since then, she has lent her voice to video games like The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 4. She has also appeared in many films and television shows. Some of her most recent roles, apart from the cameo in Wonder Woman 1984, was a recurring role in Supergirl from 2016 to 2018. She also appeared in an underground film called The Cleaner. As mentioned above, she had a cameo in Wonder Woman 1984 as Asteria, and she is reportedly reprising that role in the Wonder Woman 3 sequel. She might be appearing as the teacher or mentor for Diana Prince.
Lynda Carter can clearly take on haters of all kinds, while simultaneously poking fun at the Coachella folks. Fans have been loving every minute of her quippy comebacks, and her gorgeous throwback photos. Hopefully, she continues to elegantly respond to people on her social media pages in the same way, because she is absolutely hilarious.
