Krysten Ritter might not be part of the MCU (yet), but she looks absolutely marvelous in a new Instagram post that finds the actress wearing nothing but a black leather bra and matching jacket. The 41-year-old Jessica Jones star posed against a red background that perfectly matched her luscious lips while giving the camera a slightly dangerous looking “come hither” stare. The black leather complemented Ritter’s long raven hair and pale complexion causing one fan to comment, “Goth Mommy!”
Ritter is no stranger to posing sexily for the camera. Initially scouted by a modeling agent at the tender age of 15, Krysten Ritter eventually traveled all over the world as a model appearing in print and television ads as well as on runways in Tokyo, Paris, and Milan before becoming an actor. Although Ritter has described herself as “tall, gawky, awkward, and really, really skinny” at the start of her modeling career, most fans would agree that now, she is anything but gawky or awkward.
Krysten began acting in commercials before landing a bit part in the 2003 film Mona Lisa Smile as well as several small Off-Broadway plays. Ritter eventually landed supporting roles on Breaking Bad and Gilmore Girls. Her breakout role, however, came in 2012 when Krysten Ritter was cast as Chloe, a hard-partying NYC grifter in the ABC sitcom, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.
Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 was canceled after just two seasons on ABC but found a cult following on streaming. A few years later, in 2015 Krysten Ritter starred in Marvel’s Netflix series Jessica Jones. Ritter portrayed Jones as the female version of Will Smith‘s Hancock—a hard-partying, superpowered screw-up that somehow ends up doing the right thing in the end. Krysten reprised the role in the Netflix crossover event The Defenders, the streaming juggernaut’s version of the MCU’s Avengers films.
Though she may not have been in the public eye quite as much after Jessica Jones was canceled along with all of the other Netflix Marvel shows, Krysten Ritter hasn’t exactly been resting on her laurels. Far from it. The statuesque beauty reprised her Breaking Bad role in 2019’s El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and is currently appearing in the HBO Max original series Love & Death.
In addition to Love & Death, the lanky actress is currently working on a pair of future projects. According to Krysten Ritter’s IMDb page, the brunette beauty is involved with a new Orphan Black series titled Orphan Black: Echoes, as well as a project called Fuddy Meers. Meers is still listed as in development and will star Ritter as a woman who wakes up every day with no memory, like Drew Barrymore’s character in 50 First Dates.
Fuddy Meers will see Krysten Ritter once again acting alongside Jessica Jones costar David Tennant. The former Doctor Who star portrayed the villainous Kilgrave in the Marvel series opposite Ritter. With any luck, the two actors will be playing characters with a much less vile and toxic relationship than the one between Kilgrave and Jessica Jones.
