Kate Beckinsale wore tight black clothing for years while starring as Selene in the Underworld franchise, but she hasn’t grown tired of the look. At least, not if her Instagram is anything to go by. Over the weekend, the actress shared photos of herself standing by a pool at night. She wore high heels, black latex leggings, a tube top, and a black furry coat.

Her followers who watch her interviewers might be surprised that she has braved leggings so soon. A few months ago, Kate Beckinsale was hospitalized. At the time, she didn’t share why, but it was known that it happened while she was filming a movie. With her long history as an action star, it was assumed by many that it likely happened while filming a stunt. Eventually it was revealed that she wasn’t actually filming an action movie at the time, but a drama, and her injury had nothing to do with it. During an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden Kate Beckinsale revealed that while she was pulling on a pair of leggings, she felt like a guitar string snapped inside her body. She said she couldn’t move for a while and had to call to be taken to a hospital.
While traumatic, the injury hasn’t slowed her down or kept her away from leggings. Kate Beckinsale is still wearing daring fashion, with platform high heels right next to the pool while she dances. She has no intention of allowing anything to slow her down, whether that’s from having fun, posting on social media, or growing her acting career.
Kate Beckinsale is probably most well known for her roles in the romantic comedy, Serenedipity, and as Selene in the Underworld films. She has also starred in action movies like Van Helsing. Recently, she’s been experimenting with more roles for streaming projects. She was just seen in Jolt on Amazon Prime, a movie where she played a bouncer with an anger management problem. Her character had bleached blond hair, giving her a look audiences weren’t used to from the star. She wore an electrode-lined vest as a way to help manage her anger problem, but of course, things went wrong and she spent much of the movie beating people up.
This year has also seen Kate Beckinsale star in Guilty Party. She plays a disgraced journalist named Beth Burgess. Her character works to redeem her career by writing about a young mother suffering in prison for a crime Beth Burgess attempts to prove her innocent of. The new series is streaming on Paramount+.
