Jessica Simpson Stuns In Bikini Pics To Celebrate Her New Look

In the early 2000s, Jessica Simpson was promoted as an alternative to the increasingly raunchy, increasingly adult-oriented Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. While her initial image was always that of wholesomeness and family-friendly pop, it does not seem to stop her from posting a candid few bikini pictures on her Instagram these days. Of course, the early 2000s was a long time ago and we are nothing but glad for current day Jessica Simpson to be flaunting a stunning look on her family vacation. Check it out:
In the first image, Jessica Simpson is standing in front of a full-length mirror, wearing a gold, dazzling bikini that nearly matches her tanned skin. She is wearing tall, wedge heels and the bottom of the bikini has a tie knot at one of her hips, which she has saucily posed. Her long, famously blonde hair is down around her shoulders, and she is wearing a large pair of round black sunglasses, all topped off with a straw cowboy hat. The caption to the photo reads “Adios Cabo San Lucas” (with a sun emoji), so it looks like this photo caught the Simpson family at tail end of their vacation.
The second image has Jessica Simpson from a high, canted angle looking down on her wide smile and a different, pink and purple paisley design. This time she’s wearing a pair of white-framed sparkly sunglasses, and the caption to the photo describes her various issues with weight and how happy she is to be at her current body time, as we all should be. More power to you, Jessica.
Jessica Simpson famously auditioned for the same revival of The Mickey Mouse Club that would go on to star Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Keri Russell, and Britney Spears. While Simpson was ultimately not selected, it put her on the map for show business. After a brief run with a Christian music recording label, she signed with Columbia Records under impresario Tommy Mottola. Simpson established herself as a pop star in a more “innocent” mold than many of her peers. She also began a high-profile relationship with 98 Degrees boy band member Nick Lachey, with the two ultimately marrying in 2002. Simpson and Lachey achieved a much greater degree of fame by starring in the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica (which had been initially developed for Michael Jackson and Lisa-Marie Presley). In particular, Jessica Simpson’s apparent “dumb blonde” persona struck a chord with audiences and the show was a hit.
Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson would divorce in 2006; they had filed to dissolve the marriage in 2005, which is also when Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica wrapped up. Since then, Simpson has continued to regularly record new albums, and take television and film acting roles. She also launched the massively successful fashion line, The Jessica Simpson Collection, which now tops annual sales of $1 billion annually.
