Marie Claire just released their Holiday Issue and Jessica Chastain’s shoot for the cover is stunning, to say the least. Chastain posted some select shots on Instagram, including a striking emerald outfit that perfectly complements her auburn hair. Of course, it also happens to be the perfect color combination for the holidays.

In addition to finding the time for a Marie Claire holiday photoshoot, Jessica Chastain has had a pretty busy year. The Oscar-winning actress recently starred in The Good Nurse opposite Eddie Redmayne. The Tobias Lindholm-directed film chronicled the real-life story of Charlie Cullen, a nurse who was implicated in the deaths of hundreds of patients.

For her most recent role, you can catch Jessica Chastain in the ongoing Showtime series George & Tammy, which depicts the romance between country music superstars George Jones and Tammy Wynette. Chastain stars as Wynette and Michael Shannon plays George Jones, with the rest of the cast rounded out by David Wilson Barnes, Walton Goggins, Zachariah Malachi, Joshua C. Allen, John Teer, and more. The series has received critical praise for its first two episodes with the next episode hitting Showtime on December 18.

Of course, Jessica Chastain won’t be slowing down at all in 2023. She’ll be making her return to Broadway in the Henrik Ibsen play A Doll’s House at the Hudson Theater in New York City. A Doll’s House is adapted by Amy Herzog, who reinvents the story for a modern age. The play will be directed by Tony Award nominee Jamie Llyod.

Jessica Chastain also has some big films on the horizon. She is set to star in the Michael Franco film Memory alongside Peter Sarsgaard, Merritt Weaver, Elsie Fisher, Josh Charles, and Jessica Harper. The plot for Memory is being kept under wraps for now, but it’s set for a 2023 release date.

Jessica Chastain will also be starring in Mother’s Instinct, an adaptation of the Barbara Abel novel. The film will be directed by Benoit Delhomme and the screenplay adaptation will be penned by Sarah Conradt, with a cast that also includes Anne Hathaway, Josh Charles, Anders Danielsen Lie, Caroline Lagerfelt, Alexander Blaise, and more. Mother’s Instinct is a thriller about two women whose domestic bliss and sisterly bond quickly devolve after a tragic accident.

Jessica Chastain is also gearing up to get into the video game adaptation world with the upcoming film based on The Division. The Division will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber with a screenplay by Rafe Judkins that follows a trained group of civilians attempting to evacuate New York City after a pandemic virus ravages the city. Along with Chastain, the film also stars Jake Gyllenhaal as the co-lead.

The Division and Mother’s Instinct don’t have solid release dates yet, but we’ll surely hear more about the films soon. In the meantime, you can catch Jessica Chastain in new episodes of George & Tammy. You can also try and catch Chastain during her Broadway run in A Doll’s House when performances begin in February 2023.
