Halle Berry is fantastically daring. After decades in Hollywood as an actress, she is currently promoting her directorial debut. When getting ready for a late night TV appearance, she went for a bold look with what appears to be a black and gold short robe, held in place by a giant golden snake.

The above post was a photo Halle Berry appears to have taken herself, specifically to share with her seven million Instagram followers. It was an outfit she actually put together to wear on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show. You can see more photos of the outfit from her appearance in the post below. Clicking the arrow on the right reveals more pictures of her appearance. In the caption, Halle Berry shared that she had a lot of fun on the show.

Halle Berry is definitely having a great moment in her career. So far, her time in Hollywood has been filled with ups, like her Oscar win for Monster’s Ball, and downs, like the audience reactions to Catwoman upon its release in 2004. She has weathered the ebbs and flows and it’s all brought her to this moment, where she is set to star in a couple of different science fiction projects and finally promote her directorial debut.

Bruised sees Halle Berry playing a disgraced MMA fighter working her way back into the ring. The actress actually broke two ribs during filming and got right back into the director’s chair, struggling all the while not to let anyone know how bad off she was. She’d actually broken ribs while filming the third John Wick movie with Keanu Reeves, so she wasn’t a stranger to these types of terrible set injuries, but she’s said it was still rough going. Despite this, she has continued on, and now Netflix is set to finally release Bruised on November 24, 2021.

In another bold move, she recently began one interview talking about Catwoman. The movie was considered a financial and critical failure for Halle Berry. In recent years, fans have come to appreciate aspects of its campy style, but it’s still typically criticized. At the start of an interview, she was asked if she knows what story she might want to direct next. She flat out said that she would like to direct a Catwoman movie of her own if given the chance. She then outlined how she would like to approach the story. She said, “I would have Catwoman saving the world like most male superheroes do, and not just saving women from their faces cracking off.”

It remains to be seen if Halle Berry will get the chance to direct a Catwoman project. It does seem like this is the start of a new chapter in her career. Bruised is finally about to stream on Netflix. After that, fans will see her in a new Roland Emmerich movie. Halle Berry will travel into space to save the world in Moonfall when it releases in movie theaters on February 4, 2022.
