Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld shared a photo of herself in a slinky lilac dress that is just lovely. On her Instagram account, Steinfeld showed off her elegant look while artfully reclining on a chaise lounge and looking quite relaxed. The actor will soon be heard again as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The photos find Hailee Steinfeld looking quite relaxed in a form-fitting, long-sleeved lilac dress that features two swirling, rose-like fabric flowers. The feature is echoed on her strappy, slender high-heeled sandals, with sparkly rings and silver curl earrings completing the look. With smoky eyes and her hair in a loose bun, she looks far more ready for cocktails than for web-slinging or high-octane archery.

But Hailee Steinfeld is of course well known for both of those things, as she is for hanging out with Bumblebee. That film, while it’s getting a sort-of sequel that will not feature her, is just one of the hits the actor has had in recent years. Though she had a few parts prior, her immediate skyrocket to fame was with her role as Mattie Ross in Joel and Ethan Cohen’s True Grit, a 2010 remake of a classic 1969 John Wayne Western.

Since then, Hailee Steinfeld’s IMDb page shows she has achieved success not every breakout star obtains, proving that the talent she showed in her younger years (she was 13 in True Grit) would only grow. Starring as Emily in the second and third Pitch Perfect films, the singing she did with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson didn’t end with those movies. She has also carved out a singing career and has starred in a number of her own music videos.

Hailee Steinfeld debuted as the first on-screen Spider-Gwen in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. The character, a version of one-time Spider-Man girlfriend Gwen Stacy who develops spider powers, first appeared in the Spider-Verse comics. Since then, and especially after Steinfeld’s portrayal, Spider-Gwen has developed a huge following and fandom, even garnering her own eponymous comic book series.

More recently, Hailee Steinfeld starred as Emily Dickinson in the Apple TV+ series Dickinson. While not a biography of the legendary American poet, the fictional series does echo some of the facts of Dickinson’s life and elements of her poetry, while still telling its own imagined story. Running from 2019 to 2021, the series won two GLAAD for Outstanding Comedy Series (in 2020 and 2022) and a Peabody Award, along with several other nominations.

We’re glad to see Hailee Steinfeld’s work continue to be recognized as she remains one of the brightest young talents around. And while we wish we could see her in another Bumblebee movie, we won’t have to wait long for her return as Spider-Gwen, as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse premieres in just a few days, on June 2nd. In the meantime, we’re going to find a comfy chaise lounge and a lilac dress so we can casually look amazing on Instagram.

Or maybe we’ll just leave that to Hailee Steinfeld.
