Golden Sagon Cannon was born on February 17, 2017, to his father Nick, and mother, Brittany Bell. When he was born, he became Nick Cannon’s third child and the start of an extremely active five-year timeframe for Daddy Cannon. Golden Cannon would also be the first of three children that the singer/actor/comedian would have with Bell.

NICK CANNON HAS 12 CHILDREN IN ALL

When it comes to fathering children, there aren’t many who can match the stats of one Nicholas Scott Cannon. Nick Cannon was born on October 8, 1980, in San Diego, California, and by all accounts grew up in the gang-infested Lincoln Parks Bay Vista Housing Projects.

As a teenager, Cannon became very wrapped up in the gang life, affiliating himself with the street gang, the Lincoln Park Bloods. One fateful incident, the death of a close friend, drove him out of that life.

When Cannon was a teenager, he was one-third of the rap group, Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad. They made a brief name for themselves by opening up for acts such as Will Smith, Montell Jordan, and 98 Degrees. Cannon continued his music career when in 2001, he signed with Jive Records. He released his first album, self-titled, in 2003.

Golden Cannon’s father continued with music throughout the early 2000s but he also was beginning to spread his wings. He fancied himself a comedian and in 2010, he announced he was going on tour.

It began with Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. Cannon proved early on that he had the chops for comedy and in 2011, he was at the Palms in Vegas where he recorded his very first stand-up comedy Showtime special, Mr. Showbiz.

As far as his personal life is concerned, Golden Cannon’s father has been one active dude. He has dated the likes of Kim Kardashian, singer Christina Milian, and model Jessica White, and was even engaged to model Selita Ebanks in 2007. In 2008 is when Cannon settled down.

Golden Cannon’s father married superstar pop singer Mariah Carey on April 30, 2008. It was a marriage that lasted six years and produced Golden Cannon’s elder siblings, fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon. Little did we know, the twins would be just the tip of the child-rearing iceberg for Nick Cannon.

GOLDEN CANNON’S MOTHER IS BRITTANY BELL

While it may seem, to some, that Nick Cannon having a child (or three) with Brittany Bell as surprising, from Cannon’s point of view, it was not shocking in the least, even after his split from Mariah Carey. Cannon, speaking with radio station Power 106, explained at the time his relationship with Bell. He first talked about telling his twins [with Carey] how he told them they were going to have a baby brother [Golden].

“They’re super excited,” Cannon said. He also wanted to clarify that Golden was not an “accident,” as many people at the time suspected. “Never an ‘oops baby.’ I’m so calculated with my moves…I’ve always wanted five kids,” he said, adding, “Just because my marriage was over didn’t mean I couldn’t continue my family.” Wonder what he thought at that time about having a dozen kids.

As for his relationship with Bell, it actually goes back a long way. “I wanted to make sure it was someone who was solid, spiritual, and had the same views,” Cannon said before making his big reveal. “She’s been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there’s a lot of substance there.”

As for Golden Cannon’s mother, Brittany Bell is famous in her own right. She was born in Barrigada, Guam and in 2009, Bell was crowned Miss Arizona USA, while also taking home the prize as Miss Congeniality. She took her crown to the Miss USA 2010 pageant but unfortunately, she did not get past the opening round.

For three seasons, Golden Cannon’s mother was a dancer for the National Basketball Association’s Phoenix Suns. She is an Arizona State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. In 2014, Bell was crowned Miss Guam Universe and she also competed in the Miss Universe pageant that same year.

GOLDEN BELL IS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT

The pride and joy Golden Cannon’s mother shows of her son is immediately touching. Brittany Bell consistently takes to her social media to highlight all of Golden’s accomplishments from his school achievements to his running track and even his sixth birthday.

In fact, one aspect of young Golden’s life that his mother is truly proud of is the fact that when Golden was five, he started his first day of second grade.

During an Instagram post, Brittany was seen quizzing Golden on spelling words, which he easily knocked out. He was first able to spell “knowledge” and then “silence.”

She also posted on her Instagram another video which she started with, “I just want to show you something. I’ve been busy in school, busy in the mom life, but I’m so proud of my son, he inspires me. Let me tell you why, look.”

She then showed Golden Cannon’s skill assessment results that revealed her son, at five years old, was testing at a 4th-grade level.

GOLDEN CANNON HAS NUMEROUS SIBLINGS

We can’t talk about Golden Cannon without mentioning his brothers (and sisters) from another mother. Make that “mothers.” In total, Golden has 11 siblings, although one sadly passed away at the age of five months.

We have briefly talked about the fraternal twins [Monroe and Moroccan] that Golden calls his older siblings. He also has Powerful Queen Cannon (born on December 23, 2020) and Rise Messiah Cannon (September 23, 2022) both of whose mother is Brittany Bell.

As half-siblings, Golden Cannon has twins Zion Mixolydian Cannon and Zillion Heir Cannon (June 14, 2021) and Beautiful Zeppelin Cannon (November 11, 2022) born to Abby De La Rosa.

Then there is Zen Scott Cannon (June 23, 2021) who sadly passed away on December 5, 2021, after a short battle with brain cancer, and Halo Marie Cannon (December 14, 2022) both born to Alyssa Scott.

Golden Cannon can call Legendary Love Cannon (June 28, 2022) as his half-sister. She was born to Bre Tiesi. Finally, there is also Onyx Ice Cole Cannon (September 14, 2022) whose mother is LaNisha Cole. 12 kids, six different mothers.

Golden Cannon has a lot of life to still live. At six years old, he is showing an amazing aptitude in school, sports, and a love for his mom and siblings.

And while it may seem that his father is spread very thin when it comes to spending time with all of his children, it is clear that Nick Cannon is doing all he can to be a quality father to Golden.
