Diddy Now Linked To Tupac Shakur Murder By Investigator
With many of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged crimes now coming to light in recent days, the family of Tupac Shakur has hired New York City attorney Alex Spiro to further investigate the possible link between Tupac’s murder and Diddy. This comes after famed crime scene investigator Sheryl McCollum, who worked on Tupac’s murder case, claimed that evidence suggests that Diddy had a direct connection to the fatal shooting.
Diddy Was Always A Suspect
When Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas in September 1996, speculation immediately began to swirl regarding the real motive behind the shooting and the people behind the scenes who were allegedly pulling the strings to orchestrate the hit.
One of the people who have long been rumored as the real culprit being the murder of Tupac is Diddy, the embattled music mogul who is currently facing the possibility of life in prison after being charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The Shooting
In an interview with NewsNation, McCollum referenced a 1994 shooting in Manhattan, which began the violent chain reaction of events, eventually leading to the deaths of Tupac in 1996 and The Notorious B.I.G. in an alleged retaliation killing in 1997.
In the Manhattan shooting, Tupac was left with severe injuries after being shot five times exiting a music studio elevator, which McCollum finds suspicious. “Both times that Tupac Shakur is shot, he is trapped in something,” McCollum said. “He’s trapped in an elevator, and then he’s trapped in a car. There is literally nowhere to run.”
An Arrest Was Finally Made In 2023
According to police, on the evening of Sept. 7, 1996, Tupac was riding in the passenger seat of a car driven by Death Row Records head Marion “Suge” Knight when a second car pulled up beside them and opened fire, mortally wounding Tupac and injuring Suge before speeding away into the night.
In the fall of 2023, Duane “Keefe D” Davis was formally charged in connection with Tupac’s death after being accused of orchestrating the shooting. While Davis has pleaded not guilty, awaiting his March 2025 trial for his alleged crimes, he once spoke of another key figure in the case that he claims to be the real mastermind in the shooting of Tupac.
Tupac’s Alleged Murderer Reveals Major Diddy Connection
In a July 18 court filing from the Clark County District Attorney’s office, a 2009 interview between Davis and police shined a light on Diddy’s possible connection to Tupac’s murder. When authorities asked Davis if Diddy had any role in the 1996 Las Vegas shooting, Davis acknowledged that Diddy had a longstanding beef with Suge, even going as far as calling for his rival’s head at one point.
Davis also noted that Tupac allegedly taunted Diddy over the heated rivalry, causing Diddy to then turn to Davis to take care of both Suge and Tupac.
A Reported Hit
In a separate interview between Davis and the police regarding Diddy and his possible connection to Tupac’s murder, Davis then claimed that Diddy put a $1 million hit out on both Tupac and Suge. Davis says that Diddy wanted him to “handle the problem,” referring to his West Coast rivals.
Despite the alleged connection between Diddy and Tupac’s murder, police have never labeled Diddy as a suspect and the music mogul has vehemently denied having any role in the shooting.
