If there’s anyone who can pull off wearing an off-the-should sweater and nothing else, it’s Charlize Theron. A Twitter account posted the photo which is actually from a 2012 interview and photoshoot with Theron for Savoir Flair. The interview is from a pretty interesting time in Theron’s career and the rest of the photos are just as stunning.

2012 saw Charlize Theron in two fairly big roles with Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus. While most wouldn’t consider these the best roles in her career, she definitely had a lot of star power around this time. There was also a brief period between 2012 and 2015 when we hardly saw Theron in any films at all.

In fact, her only movie between those years was the critically reviled Seth Macfarlane comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West. Fortunately, showing up in that movie didn’t slow Charlize Theron down at all, as she burst back onto the scene with Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015. As far as Theron’s best roles go, Mad Max: Fury Road is definitely in the conversation.

Charlize Theron starred as the fierce Furiosa opposite Tom Hardy’s Max in George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. The film was basically a perfect action movie and Theron’s performance as Furiosa was a big part of this. So much so that there is a Furiosa prequel in the works.

Unfortunately, Charlize Theron won’t be back for the Furiosa prequel, as Anya Taylor-Joy will be playing a younger version of the character instead. With George Miller at the helm, it will undoubtedly still be fantastic and Taylor-Joy will surely nail the role, but Theron will be missed. The rest of the cast of that film will be rounded out by Chris Hemsworth, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nathan Jones, and Tom Burke.

Of course, Charlize Theron might be too busy for Mad Max anyway (especially since she didn’t really enjoy the experience of working on the last one). Theron recently joined the MCU as Clea, showing up in the post-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Clea is a powerful sorceress and a love interest of Doctor Strange in the comics, so we’ll surely be seeing plenty more of her character in the future.

Charlize Theron is also busy with the latest movies in the Fast and Furious franchise. Theron is set to return as the antagonistic Cipher in the upcoming Fast X, which features a huge star-studded cast that includes Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, and Rita Moreno. She’s also set to reprise the role in the eleventh film in the franchise, which will be the final mainline movie.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until the spring of next year to see Charlize Theron in Fast X. The film is set to come out on May 19. In the meantime, you can see her most recent film The School for Good and Evil on Netflix.
