Brie Larson is bad at golf. The Captain Marvel star made the revelation in a video shared on social media. The slow-motion clip sees the actress taking a swing at a simulator impact screen. But instead of crushing the shot, the ball veers to the side and rolls back to her. Despite the epic fail, the 33-year-old Fast X star still looked stylish in her patchwork jeans and grey sweater.

“Achievement unlocked: I’m bad at golf,” she jokingly wrote in the caption. No matter her skill level, Brie Larson seems to have had a good time with the virtual golf experience. Away from social media, the actress is set to star in a few high-profile projects in 2023.

Fast X will see the 33-year-old portray Tess, a rogue representative of Mr. Nobody’s agency who sides with Dom and his family. Directed by Louis Leterrier, from a script by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau, the story follows Dominic Toretto who must protect his family from Cipher who joins forces with Dante. Brie Larson will appear alongside franchise favorites like Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, and Jordana Brewster.

Brie Larson will also reprise her role as Captain Marvel in The Marvels. The movie is directed by Nia DaCosta from a script by Megan McDonnell. Following the events of Ms. Marvel, the story follows Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau who begin swapping places every time they use their powers.

They eventually team up to find a solution, People reports. Led by Brie Larson, the film was originally set for release on July 28. However, it was pushed back to November 10 to allow more time for post-production to be completed.

The delay also ties into a new strategy from Disney CEO Bob Iger, which focuses on quality over quantity. Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe received major criticism, as the entire slate felt rushed with poor CGI.

Marvel Studios’ new approach serves to fix both problems within its Disney+ offerings and big-screen content. Strangely, The Marvels is already dealing with a wave of criticism months before its release. Following a leak of movie merchandise images, some folks were quick to disapprove of Ms. Marvel seemingly going mask-free in the Brie Larson-led movie.

The first Captain Marvel movie earned over $1.1 billion worldwide. But for unknown reasons, the movie saw the rise of a vocal minority who were against the story and Brie Larson as soon as it was announced. If the movie fails to get the three main characters’ powers right in post-production, The Marvels will become another polarizing release.

Away from Marvel Studios, Brie Larson will star as Elizabeth Zott in Lessons in Chemistry. Created for AppleTV+, the series is based on Bonnie Garmus’ novel of the same name. Set in the 1960s, the story follows an aspiring scientist who is fired from her job when she becomes pregnant. Elizabeth eventually hosts a cooking show, teaching housewives about the value of independence along with the intricacies of food science.
