The internet has a strange relationship with Brie Larson. While the haters are dedicated to denouncing her tenure as Marvel’s premier female superhero, others hang onto everything she does. So when the Oscar winner shared a few photos celebrating the weekend with a glass of champagne, her fans were totally there for it.

Wearing a sparkly dress and a slightly goofy smile, the actress fittingly captioned the images with the words, “Champagne Fridays.” Exactly what Brie Larson was celebrating remains a mystery. But one theory, hidden in the comments section of the post, was that the 33-year-old could just be stoked for Taylor Swift’s new visual album Midnights, which was released on the same day as the post.

The actress is known to be a not-so-secret Swiftie. But since she isn’t one of the guest artists/musicians featured on the album, that theory probably doesn’t check out. However, her fancy attire indicates that she was probably attending some sort of event.

Away from social media, Brie Larson was recently spotted filming scenes for her upcoming Apple TV+ drama, Lessons in Chemistry. Spotted by The Daily Mail in Los Angeles, the Marvel star transformed into her character, wearing a vintage sweater pullover vest and a pair of rolled-up blue jeans. Her blonde hair was parted on the side and remained free-flowing in lovely bouncy locks.

The outfit was completed with navy tennis sneakers and a brown backpack which she carried over her shoulders. Lessons in Chemistry is based on Bonnie Garmus’ novel of the same name, which was published in April. Set in the 1960s, the story follows an aspiring scientist Elizabeth Zott who is fired from her job after becoming pregnant.

She then begins hosting a cooking show, where she teaches housewives about the value of independence and the intricacies of food science. The Brie Larson starrer is currently set to debut on streaming sometime in 2023. The actress can also be seen in a short film called Remembering.

The delightful eight-minute project features Brie Larson as a writer, who explores where ideas come from after being interrupted by her phone. She eventually realizes that her idea wasn’t lost. Instead, it’s discovered by her inner child (played by Dusty Peak).

The short is written and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, musician, and actor Elijah Allan-Blitz and is a thoughtful exploration of ideas and creativity, CNET reports. But the project Brie Larson fans are most looking forward to is The Marvels. Directed by Nia DaCosta from a screenplay by Megan McDonnell, the movie also features Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur reprise their respective roles from Ms. Marvel. Zawe Ashton has been cast as a villain. Likewise, Park Seo-Joon joined the project in an undisclosed role.

Following the events of Ms. Marvel, the story begins when Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau swap places every time they use their powers. To fix the problem, the trio team up to figure out the cause. The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, is set for release on July 28, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
