Baywatch actress Alexandra Daddario is coming to a magazine rack near you, thanks to her latest cover shoot for Women’s Health Magazine. Daddario is interviewed for a feature story in which she discusses her life, career, and her “secret weapons” to keeping things stress-free and in balance. The 36-year-old actress shared the cover of the magazine, in which she sports a sexy white bra top, on her Instagram page, which has 22.5 million followers.
In the Women’s Health article, Daddario talked about her career, which has been in hyperdrive in recent years. She’s currently filming the AMC+ series adaptation of Anne Rice’s trilogy of horror novels The Mayfair Witches, which will be her first leading TV role. Alexandra Daddario plays Rowan Fielding, a doctor who discovers she is the heir to a family dynasty of witches. The series, which also stars Jack Huston and Harry Hamlin, is currently shooting in New Orleans and will premiere on the streaming service sometime next year. AMC is also producing another Anne Rice adaptation, Interview with the Vampire, as a series for their cable network. Sadly, Rice passed late last year, as both series were being developed.
While staying busy with work, Alexandra Daddario revealed her “secret weapons” for keeping in balance: hot yoga and acupuncture. That shouldn’t be much of a surprise to her fans: she often shares her health and fitness routine on her social media. Hot yoga or not, whatever Alexandra Daddario is doing, it seems to be working. She’s not only starring in a huge new series, she just earned her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her role as Rachel Patton in the HBO series The White Lotus.
In addition to her busy professional life, it’s been a busy year personally for the Manhattan native. In June, she married 53-year-old producer Andrew Form in a lavish New Orleans ceremony. Form was previously married to Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster until their divorce June of 2021, after a year of separation. He started dating Alexandra Daddario last year and proposed in June of 2021. Form has produced films like A Quiet Place and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot films, but didn’t meet Daddario in Hollywood, but rather on a New York street, where he asked her out. The two were married at New Orleans’ historic Preservation Hall in the French Quarter, because Daddario said the venue “lets its age and ‘flaws’ show. That’s what makes it so beautiful. We wanted it to be about music, drinking, and authentic New Orleans,” she said in an interview.
Alexandra Daddario began acting at age 16, encouraged by her parents, lawyers who also acted. She had her breakthrough role playing Annabeth Chase in the movies Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief in 2010 and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters in 2013. She really began to turn heads with roles in Texas Chainsaw, True Detective, Baywatch, and the Dwayne Johnson action blockbuster San Andreas. In 2014, she was named to Maxim’s “Hot 100.” Her new film, Wildflower, starring Kiernan Shipka and Brad Garrett, opens later this year.
