Alexandra Daddario has a very robust social media presence, and there is absolutely no question as to why. Since first breaking out as a child star in the Percy Jackson films, Alexandra Daddario has surely and steadily climbed the ranks of Hollywood and is poised to star in her biggest vehicle yet. But before we get into that, it is always wise to take a few moments and appreciate just how fantastic Alexandra Daddario’s bare midriff looks in this black and white photo from her Instagram account. Check it out:

In this post, Alexandra Daddario is shot from a distance, reclining on a small loveseat in an anonymous building. The shot could either be carefully posed for maximum artistic effect or just a simple candid shot that happens to capture one of the most beautiful women in the world in a moment of relaxation. Either way, we get to see Alexandra Daddario in a pair of very short shorts and bare abs, so it is really a win for everyone and anyone involved. While the Percy Jackson actress is often prone to showing off some incredible, colorful looks (or even sexy, carefully edited commercials), it is good to see a post that is as calm and restful for her as this one.

Alexandra Daddario is soon to star in the AMC series Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, one of the upcoming shows based on the late gothic fantasy writer’s books. In the series, Alexandra Daddario will star as Rowan Fielding, a beautiful neurosurgeon who travels to New Orleans (where many of Anne Rice’s books are set) and encounters the tragic, mysterious, and powerful Mayfair family. As the title might lead one to believe, the Mayfair clan has been embroiled in the dark arts for years and might easily be described as some kind of practitioners of witchcraft. In addition to Alexandra Daddario, Mayfair Witches will star Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, the ruthless patriarch of the family, and Jack Huston as Lasher, a supernatural being who has alternately aided and haunted the family for centuries. The book version of Lasher has connections to the British Royal Family and various denominational Christian schisms, so it will be interesting to see if any of that makes it into the Alexandra Daddario series.

In addition to Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, Alexandra Daddario will be starring in Wildflower, along with Kiernan Shipka and Jean Smart. The Matt Smukler-directed film is described as a coming-of-age story involving a disabled parent and family conflicts in how best to help them. The Mayfair Witches series will follow AMC’s new adaptation of Interview with the Vampire, by far Anne Rice’s most famous work. The novel was previously adapted in 1994, starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst. In the novels, the Mayfair witches and various vampires have frequently crossed over, so it seems very likely we will see Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan Fielding eventually meeting up with Jacob Anderson’s Louis de Pointe du Lac in mysterious and dark circumstances.
