The live action Star Wars TV series that’s been rumored for several years now is finally happening. Fanboy.com confirms is finally set to start shooting in Australia soon, using local Australian talent.
Better still, this won’t be yet another horrible Star Wars product geared towards 8-year-old kids. Instead, multiple sources have confirmed that for the first time in a long time, this will be a Star Wars aimed at adults. Their hiring writers with experience penning mature relationship dramas and the show is expected to focus on character connections and emotional issues. Heavier stuff than we’ve seen from Star Wars in a long, long, time. If we’re lucky, this could be the serious Star Wars we’ve all been craving, a show without a Jar Jar.
