slaveleia Live Action Star Wars TV Series Will Be Aimed At AdultsThe live action Star Wars TV series that's been rumored for several years now is finally happening. Fanboy.com confirms is finally set to start shooting in Australia soon, using local Australian talent.

Better still, this won't be yet another horrible Star Wars product geared towards 8-year-old kids. Instead, multiple sources have confirmed that for the first time in a long time, this will be a Star Wars aimed at adults. Their hiring writers with experience penning mature relationship dramas and the show is expected to focus on character connections and emotional issues. Heavier stuff than we've seen from Star Wars in a long, long, time. If we're lucky, this could be the serious Star Wars we've all been craving, a show without a Jar Jar.

Star Wars was ALWAYS aimed at kids. If you read any interview GL has ever given, he's said it from day one. A lot of "fans" simply grew up and they hold the original series on this high pedestal of "adult drama" that it doesn't belong on. The movie series was, and always will be, aimed at kids and the kid in all of us. I feel sorry for the so-called fans who can't enjoy it for the escapist entertainment it is, to those fans I say go watch Star Trek and pretend to be high brow with the Trekkies. This series, if its honestly going to be darker and more adult-oriented, will no doubt be super cool but in my opinion it's GL's attempt at satisfying all the nay-sayers who constantly berate the movies (all the while plopping down $10 a shot to see them numerous times). LOL. Long live Jar Jar, the Ewoks, and everything else that makes Star Wars what it is today.
