I caught Gareth Edwards’ ambitious new sci-fi movie Monsters at SXSW earlier this year and, while I liked things about it, was turned off by the movie’s awkward attempt at shoe-horning in anti-American politics. Still there are things in it worth seeing, particularly for a movie about Godzilla-sized aliens done on such a tiny budget.
It’s been picked up for release in America, so you’ll have your chance to check it out for yourself soon. In the meantime, we’ve got a look at the first UK poster for Monsters. Here it is: read this entry »
The marketing campaign for Chris Nolan’s new movie about dream stealing has officially reached an epic scale. Energy drink, plus vodka, plus squirrel, divided by hot tub equals time travel. Makes sense to me.

Two new posters for M. Night Shyamalan’s adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender have been released. Retitled The Last Airbender to avoid any confusion with a certain James Cameron movie, it’s based on the Nickelodeon animated series about a boy with the ability to manipulate the four elements. Lock your targeting reticle on these:

The first poster for The Time Traveler’s Wife has arrived and like the trailer we showed you over the weekend the first poster for Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams’ time travel movie is terribly romantic. Take a look:

HBO has sent us another poster for the new season of television’s best vampire programming. Actually I guess it’s television’s only vampire programming, but even if there were others I feel confident it’d kick their ass. If you missed the first season of True Blood, season 2 is your second shot and getting on board. Here’s the poster:
