Disney unveiled Tron 2 today at the San Diego Comic Con. Scratch that, they unveiled Tron: Legacy, since that's what they've decided to call it. Below is a ton of amazing concept art from the movie which was shown at the panel. Feast your eyes on this:
All of it looks utterly amazing. One very minor point of concern though. Most of the vehicles look like they have lights inside them shining out. One of the cool, and very different things about Tron was that it didn't look like the lightcycles or the people had lights inside them or on them... they looked like they were lights. It's a subtle difference, one which, as awesome, amazing and eye-popping as these images are, I don't think they've quite captured. Still it's early, this is only concept art and I can't wait to see where they go with it.
Even more awesome imagery from Terminator Salvation has stomped up to my doorstep. Warner Bros has blown out their full bunch of T4 images. Included here you'll find more than 60, brand new images from the movie. Look: more...

The past few days have been so flooded with cool Star Trek tidbits that it's probably starting to seem like this is a Star Trek fan site. Well it isn't, it's just a sci-fi site run by a Star Trek fanboy, who can't help but be excited over stuff like this.

MTV has scored new images from Star Trek, among them your much anticipated first look at an actual green-skinned, generously proportioned, Orion slave girl. Admit it, you had a dream or two about green women after you first saw Vina shaking it in The Cage. Who hasn't. more...

Monsters vs. Aliens is the big movie opening next weekend and it looks like it's going to be nothing short of fantastic, especially if you're any kind of a golden age science fiction fan. It's the latest animated film from DreamWorks, but it uses classic monster character types in a 3D battle against alien invaders.
We have 12 new clips and a huge batch of images from the movie for you. See it all after the jump: more...

The season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars happens tonight on the Cartoon Network at 9pm EST. Like any sci-fi fan with any sense... I'll be glued to the series finale of Battlestar Galactica instead. Luckily Clone Wars reruns frequently. Maybe it's worth catching later in the week. Here's a taste for what the Clone Wars season finale has in store, after the jump:

I know a lot of people are upset that Joss Whedon's new sci fi spy series Dollhouse has been dumped on Friday nights. The prevailing wisdom is that nobody watches TV on Friday because they're out getting drunk and picking up whores. I don't buy it.
Speaking as a lifelong dork, my Friday nights aren't particularly busy. Let's face it, nerds, dorks, geeks, we're the audience for this show. Newsflash: We're home. Putting Dollhouse on Thursday nights isn't going to somehow suck in the American Idol crowd who is out barhopping on Friday nights. Whether it's Friday or Thursday or Monday they weren't going to tune in anyway. Don't worry Joss, the rest of us will. If that's not a big enough audience for the show, then give it up. That audience doesn't exist.
So line up fellow geeks and check out a sweet new, Grindhouse-style promo for Fox's new Dollhouse/Sarah Connor Chronicles Friday nights. Now we have something to do while you backwards hat assholes are out getting laid. See it all more...

A great bunch of images snapped from the second season set of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have popped up online today. Apologies in advance to whoever took them, because I have no idea who did, and thus I have no way to credit you.
The problem, is that the images have been circulated primarily by blog and email. While bloggers are good at spreading around information, they are, as a whole, utter failures as journalists. That means they never credit any of their sources, because they're desperate to hang on to unearned traffic for themselves. Because the photos are everywhere and no one is crediting a source for them, I have no idea who to credit. Thanks blogosphere!
Check out the images below. Beware, they contain minor spoilers. Go no further if you don't want to know anything about Sarah Connor S2.

Fox Television announced it’s upcoming programming lineup this week. Among the new shows on their list, is as expected, Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse. Like everything Joss Whedon has ever done, it’s about a really hot girl who kicks ass. Joss kind of has issues. I picture him spending his evenings at home in a machine mask.
Lucky for us, his obsession with hot girls beating up men has resulted in some pretty awesome programming in the past, and it’s likely to do that again. Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku as Echo, part of a secret organization that employs operatives who have their memories and personalities wiped, allowing them to be imprinted with new ones, becoming entirely new people, and slipping into missions for hire.
Dollhouse will air Mondays 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT, starting in January of 2009. Hopefully it'll last longer than Whedon's last show, the unfairly cancelled Firefly. Below we’ve got the first ever photos from Dollhouse. Take a look:
