With Comic Con literally only a week away and Warner Bros planning a big, Green Lantern event during the year’s annual geek-a-palooza, you’d think they’d have waited and simply debuted this image then. But I guess the needs of corporate payola outweigh their desire for proper marking so, to prop up Entertainment Weekly, they’ve decided to debut your first ever look at Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern through the magazine.

Hugh Jackman’s next movie has him playing a boxing trainer in a future where all the boxing is done by giant, eight-foot tall robots. Yeah it sounds a lot like Rock em’ Sock em’ Robots but it’s actually called Real Steel.
We have the first ever image from the film and here it is after the jump: read this entry »

Disney has released a new image from Tron: Legacy, this time featuring Jeff Bridges. He’ll play both Kevin Flynn and the computer program Clu in the film. It’s unclear which of those two characters this is, but I’d guess it’s Flynn since Clu, at least in the original movie, came with a bright, red glow while Flynn, as does the man pictured here, sported a sweet blue data disc.

Iron Man 2 has just released what can only be described as a frickin sweet new image. Or at least as close as an Iron Man 2 image can be to being frickin sweet without showing Iron Man, War Machine, Whiplash, or Black Cat’s cleavage. In this particular picture, Tony’s suited up in his racing gear and looking into the camera as if he’s about to kick some serious, Formula 1 ass. Focus your scanners on this:

When you think of Battlestar Galactica, what’s the first thing you think of? Six’s red dress! Come on, admit it. Sure the show is full of space ships and explosions, but how can you not think of Tricia Helfer stuffed into that now iconic, red dress.
With BSG’s run drawing to a close, Helfer is branching out into other geek realms. Unfortunately, she won’t be taking her red dress with her when she guest stars on NBC’s Chuck this season. Her appearance happens on March 30th, and the folks at EW scored a first look at what she’ll be wearing. That’s here there to your right, with Captain Awesome. Stripper-cop outfit do anything for you? Yeah, I still miss the red dress. Maybe it’s underneath.
Even if he’d only made Dark City, that would be enough to justify Alex Proyas as some sort of science fiction god. But he’s done more, heck he even made a Will Smith movie palatable. Now he’s working on a new post-apocalyptic movie called Knowing.
The movie stars Nic Cage as a man who discovers a letter in a time capsule. The letter contains a series of numbers that foretell catastrophes. Among the things he’s able to predict… 9/11. It sounds sort of like Hurley’s numbers on Lost, doesn’t it? And, weirdly enough, the first picture released from the film also, greatly resembled Lost.
The picture below first popped up online at USA Today this week. Take a look at it below, and click over there for more on Proyas’ next movie.
