The new version has its moments fio sure and it seens to be ckoser to the book (I have not read it) but tge original is better for mny reasons. Richter, Benny, Mars Venusvilee, to name just a few

The original movie is absurd and only serves as a vehicle for Schwarzenegger. For me, the new movie is better in every way.

Are you fucking kidding me? Kate Beckinsale was WAY better, No one is better than Bryan Cranston. Mars wasn’t in the original book and nor is it in the new one, so that category is complete horseshit.

I have to agree. The reboot isn’t bad, but while it’s a fun action joint, it’s pretty forgettable. There’s not much in the way of character, and it isn’t a movie that I’ll ever feel the need to watch again.

Beckinsale is like a weird hybrid of Lori and Richter.

There are problems with this to be sure, but the only thing that actually pissed me off in the new version was Cohaagan. He’s such a bland, generic “i’m gonna take over the world” villain. Cranston is so much better than that, he could have given Ronnie Cox a run for his money, but he didn’t have much to work with.
