The end is coming! The conclusion to Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is set for release in 2013. As shooting starts up for The World’s End, a few tweets from its cast have teased a mysterious zombie dance sequence in the film’s climax.

Tweets from actors Thomas Matthews and Courtney Cornfield popped up, hinting at a possible zombie dance sequence. There’s no telling how zombies will fit into the movie’s storyline as a whole, but it is believed that this could be an homage or reference to Wright’s 2004 film, Shaun of the Dead. Whatever the case, who wouldn’t be up for a dancing zombie routine in an Edgar Wright film?

The World’s End is the finale in Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (also known as the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy) with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The movie will follow five childhood friends who reunite in their home town to repeat a legendary pub-crawl of their youth. “The World’s End” is the last pub in the journey. Completing the pub-crawl doesn’t just mean success for the group, it also means salvation for humanity. The World’s End will also feature actors Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Rosamund Pike, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, and Eddie Marsan.

The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy features the main characters of their respective films purchasing a different flavor of Cornetto ice cream in each film. Shaun of the Dead in 2004 featured red strawberry flavored Cornetto, which represents the gore and blood in the film. The second film, Hot Fuzz in 2007, featured the blue original Cornetto, which signifies the film’s buddy-cop elements. The third and final film, The World’s End, will feature the green mint chocolate-chip flavor. Also, each film in the trilogy plays off different genre conventions. Shaun of the Dead was in the horror genre, while Hot Fuzz played off action films, and The World’s End will dabble in the science fiction genre.

The World’s End will hit theaters everywhere on October 25, 2013.
