Christopher Nolan’s Inception is a great movie. It’s big, ambitious, full of stunning visuals and interesting ideas, and action packed to boot. It’s also 148-minutes-long, which is a significant investment time wise, and complex as all hell. However, if you want to relive Inception, but don’t two-and-a-half hours to sit down and watch it, or don’t want to do the mental gymnastics, this TL; DW (Too Long; Didn’t Watch) video from gives you the rundown in short order. There are also fart noises, enjoy.

This video goes pretty fast—three minutes as opposed to 148—and distills all the complicated layers upon layers, the dreams within dreams, to its most simple, stripped down incarnation. So if you’ve been looking for some clarification, especially clarification in animated form, this may just be the video you’ve been waiting for. However, if you’re looking for insight into the finer, more subtle elements of Inception, maybe you’re out of luck.

And while their doing their damndest to explain things, there are also ridiculous touches like the aforementioned fart noise—there’s even a fart noise counter—Falcor, the luck dragon from The Never Ending Story, and more little asides, just in case there’s not enough going on to keep your full attention. Or maybe it’s just all a dream.

This video falls in the same vein as the likes of “Honest Trailers,” “Everything Wrong With,” and “How It Should Have Ended,” though, unlike many of those, the people involved actually seem like they legitimately like the movie they’re talking about. It also comes across as way less mean spirited than some of its counterparts, which is a welcome change.

If you’re into this video, there are even more available for your consumption, like Jurassic Park

The Hunger Games

The Matrix

…and many others to choose from.
