Watch These Extreme Sport Stormtroopers In Action
Stormtroopers have a bad reputation for being the worst soldiers imaginable. They hit their heads when they enter rooms, they can’t seem to find the droids they’re looking for and they never seem to hit their targets. If driving vehicles, they seem to always crash them. Check out these videos from FreakinRad.com of Stormtroopers catching big air on motorcross bikes and a rebel pilot on the run from Snowtroopers.
The first video is cut together like a Beastie Boys music video, complete with music from RoboCLIP, sampling key lines from Obi-Wan Kenobi from the original Star Wars like “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” These Stormtroopers fly across the screen in a Tatooine desert backdrop as they come across Jawas and Tusken Raiders.
The extreme sport collective also have a Star Wars themed snowboarding video. After crash landing an X-Wing on the ice planet Hoth, a rebel pilot snowboards down a mountain, in style. But when a pair of Snowtroopers on skis tries to capture him, it’s a race to the bottom and for the pilot’s freedom. Between the two videos, this is the better one. There are some funny moments between the Rebel pilot and Snowtroopers on a ski lift, a Wampa capturing the Snowtroopers and ending with an AT-AT squishing the fallen rebel pilot. The video is set to a beat-juggled version of the Imperial March from The Empire Strikes Back.
These two videos are truly freakin’ rad and can show how Star Wars can still infect pop culture today. It’s a lot better than Stormtroopers on speeder bikes from Return of the Jedi.
