One of the most anticipated films of the winter movie season, Warm Bodies is starting to get the attention of genre fans and general audiences. The story of a zombie who falls in love with a living person will surely warm your heart (and body) this winter. To build awareness of the zombie romantic comedy, Lionsgate releases eight new images from the film to get audiences excited for this February release. Check out the Warm Bodies stills below.

A few weeks ago, Lionsgate also released the first four minutes of Warm Bodies and it pleased many genre fans that thought the film was going to be like a zombie version of Twilight. From what the first four minutes of the film, Warm Bodies seems to be the furthest thing from Twilight and their sparkling vampires.

Warm Bodies takes place in a world where zombies are a reality in movies and pop culture. Unlike, The Walking Dead where the characters have no idea what these dead things are that are trying to kill them, Warm Bodies is comical and post-modern like Shaun of the Dead. Jonathan Levine directed the film and his past films including The Wackness and 50/50 generally subverts the audience’s expectations of what they think they’ll get in a movie.

The film features Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class, About A Boy) as a zombie named R and Teresa Palmer as the object of his affection Julie Grigio. As R falls deeper in love with Julie, he becomes more aware of his past self. Warm Bodies is also a zombie romantic comedy version of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliette (Get it? R & Julie?!) Also featured in Warm Bodies is Dave Franco, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Cory Hardrict, and Rob Corddry.

Warm Bodies opens in theaters everywhere on February 1st.
