No doubt they would be keeping an eye on me in a Z-Poc… but that’s not the point, the point is that if savage, unrelenting, man-eating undead were roaming around that would give me even more incentive as a child to stay the frak indoors and not walk around the middle of nowhere like an idiot, doubly so since he has seen the damn things and what they can do. (hell even when I was 5 I wasn’t that damn stupid)

And I’ve no doubt that you have seen movies like that, Resident evil, Land of the Dead, 28 days later (though arguably not really a zombie movie as the infected are not “Undead”) to name a few. however those movies are not set in the universe of The Walking Dead and therefore have no bearing on the zombies in The Walking Dead.

Carl and his mom SHOULDN’T be idiots. It’s the writer’s fault. They can kill them both and there will still be characters that suck and people will want dead. It’s not the characters nor the actors, it’s the writers. Until that changes, until they “kill off the writers,” Nothing will change.

Now when you were 12, I am pretty sure you weren’t living through a zombie apocalypse, so leaving you at home alone would be a bit different than in the world of The Walking Dead. I am guessing if you were living in a neighborhood chalked full of brain hungry walkers, your parents would have enough sense and decency not to leave you at home alone and would probably keep an eye on you.

When I was 12 my parents had no problem leaving me at home alone for a
weekend knowing that I wasn’t stupid enough to go wander off. And I can
guarantee that if there were killer undead monsters roaming the
streets/woods near my house that I wouldn’t want to “Mix it up and
stuff”.
