Ok I read the comments and I'm beginning to think we're not talking about the same serie at all. "No character development?". "No stories"? "just zombies attack"? I...really? I'm baffled!

Would you please HELP the serie instead of influencing people on thinking it's being just "OK". How many series had the guts of developing each characters like they did and how many series had the guts of killing a majors actors in such a dramatic and well designed way.

For once, here's a series that focus on people and where it's not just a variation of one thing happening over and over ever weeks based on a good premise like almost every other series of the "person of interest" style. How many series, in the past 3 years, had you completely caught by surprise on an event like the Walking Dead did in it's last 3 episodes? How many series had you think "what would I do if I were in that situation or had to take that same decision"? In a time were it seems that it take almost nothing to get a serie cancelled, aren't you tired of getting into a series only to learn that it's cancelled after the first season without a chance of prooving themselves. In this age Star Trek the Next Generation would have been cancelled after the first season and the borg would have never existed. Could you imagine the Sci-Fi world without the Borg? So please. As a critic, if you think a series is really bad, say it. If you think it's really good, say it too. If you think it's "OK", please say it has a very good potentiel and push it foward and give them the chance over 3 seasons to prove themselves, and "hold" your "ok" judgment for later, particularly when it's a serie that is not of the "episodic" style and where a story needs to be developped.

Please...please!?!

I'm not easily impressed but this show has me completely captivated, despite its debatable flaws. When a character behaves in an unexpected way, I prefer to give the writers the benefit of the doubt that we are discovering something new about them, rather than assuming it's just sloppy story development. For example, one of the biggest questions for me has been Lori's loyalty to Rick. She's tough to read on that from one episode to the next but that's what keeps me interested.

You weren't the only one. I nearly gave up on the show this season. My pet theory was that there were three writing teams. Each would take a week and write episodes, then the next team would take over without having communicated with the team before or having watched the previous episodes.

I had major issues with how inconsistent the characters were. Seriously had no idea what personality was going to show up in each episode. Unimpressed.
Season finale hooked me, but barely. Characters have to improve next season or I'm bidding a reluctant, disappointed adieu to The Walking Dead.
