So far this season on The Walking Dead, the writers have thrown a monkey wrench into the mechanics of the widely popular AMC TV series. A deadly new infection has hit the survivors, one that kills quickly and results in a brand-new zombie when you least expect it.

AMC has released new images of season four’s third episode, titled “Isolated,” which features characters alone from the infected, while Michonne, Daryl, and Bob go on a supply run. When last we saw our heroes, the group figured out how people were dying in the prison. Now that the infection is out in the open, so to speak, the ones infected are isolated from the rest of the group to try and prevent it from spreading. At the end of last week’s episode, “Infected,” we saw Tyreese mourn the death/murder of his beloved Karen (Melissa Ponzio) and another mysterious character. The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman wrote the next episode, in which “as one group leaves the prison in search for supplies at a local college, those who stay must deal with recent losses while preserving what remains.”

The next episode will surely feature the investigation into the murder. This season has also established that someone is trying to sabotage the group from establishing firm roots in the prison. Could this be the Governor or one of his henchmen?

AMC also released titles and plot details for the next three episodes after episode four, “Indifference.” The plot details are vague, but please read with caution if you consider an episode title to be a spoiler. Episode five, “Internment,” seems to be keeping up the trend of starting the episode titles with the letter “I,” which comes to an end with episode six, “Live Bait,” and episode seven, “Dead Weight.”

    Episode 4.05 – Internment

Assorted enemies pressure Rick and the group; the survivors and the prison may reach a breaking point.

    Episode 4.06 – Live Bait

Group members struggle to find their humanity while being constantly threatened.

    Episode 4.07 – Dead Weight

Something new unfolds at a camp outside the prison; the addition of new members may threaten peace

A few days ago, AMC also released a handful of new promo videos for the episode “Isolated.” One of the videos features Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) contracting the deadly disease, as she’s making her way through the prison to find the doctor. I think it’s safe to say that’s she’s a goner. Say your goodbyes to Sasha next week folks!

The other video features Michonne, Daryl, Bob, and Tyreese in search of more supplies for the group. While driving down an abandoned road, Daryl picks up a mysterious transmission on the car’s radio. Of course, there are more people out there trying to find solace in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, so it’s not surprising to see them stumble upon another group. But at the end of the promo video, we see the group come across a gigantic swarm of zombies heading their way. It’s going to be really thrilling and exciting to see how they get out of that tough situation.

The Walking Dead will return this Sunday on October 27th with the episode “Isolated” on AMC.
