New Trailer For V/H/S Is Found Footage Of Found Footage

Let’s for once skip the part where we say that found footage is saturating the market and just skip to where I say, “but this looks pretty cool anyway.” The compilation-style found footage horror flick V/H/S has been given a new trailer and it’s pretty effing cool. Sure, we don’t know how the shorter stories within the film tie into the main storyline, but all of the imagery in the new trailer is terrifying and brutal. Check it out below, but beware, it’s red band so it’s gory and there’s a boob that flashes by.

Fronted by filmmaker Adam Wingard supported by an army of other directors, V/H/S looks like it’s going to be a delightfully horrifying mashup of every horror genre out there, each molded to fit into the found footage format. There’s serial killers, ghosts, vampires, you name it, you seem to get it out of V/H/S.

In the flick, a group of small time robbers are sent on a mission to retrieve a tape from a house, but they’re met with a dead body and a pile of tapes with no explanation of which one to grab. So of course they start watching them, and what they see turns into the shorter stories of horror that all you gore fiends are likely dying to see.

V/H/S goes On Demand August 31 and hits theaters October 5th.
